The Trib Hates Jesus?

This is a follow-up to the article on the Evans film that the Lib Trib attributed to a church state issue.  Sam spoke directly with Evans city contacts and was told that this is not the case.  The film has been pulled at this point because city officials were not able to pre-screen it for content.  Any mention of other issues was at most inadvertent and not the main issue.  However, you won't hear that at the Trib.  Sam has a good bunch of connections.  They tell him the story behind the story.  And the truth is that the Trib screwed up yet another story.

They can't lower the boom on liberals like Markey, Ritter or Reisburg.  They inflame people with little stories like these that are completely wrong.  And they embrace muslims, buddhists, and multicultural values.  No wonder the Trib is the incredible shrinking newspaper!  Do you read it?  Do you believe it?  Beware.

Buddha Welcome, Jesus Not

Sam has learned through the Lib Trib that the city of Evans has shut down the showing of a movie at the community center that has Christian overtones about lives being changed from bad to good!  They didn't want to offend anyone with the "separation of church and state" issues.  Meanwhile, Greeley is showing "Kung Fu Panda," an animated film in one of their city parks tonight that has eastern religious overtones in it.  Apparently Buddha is welcome in Greeley/Evans, but Jesus is not.

Complaint calls are being referred to the Evans police chief, not to the city council members (who are your elected officials).  That seems a bit heavy-handed, too.  Sam doesn't know what your religious tendencies may be, but when the predominating religion and culture in the nation and state is being restricted by the government that seems to be a violation of constitutional rights.  Even the Colorado state constitution addresses "with a profound reverence the Supreme Ruler of the universe."

Call the city of Evans and complain.  If you don't, the liberals win.  If you don't complain the others will continue to intrude.  We will end up like Minneapolis who now has more than 100 mosques and at least 40 other languages spoken in the city.  Is that what you want?  Or do you want to stand up now for America's values, history and freedom?

Ritter Gives And Takes Away

While Gov. Ritter was ignoring the state government hiring freeze, and adding jobs he wanted during this past year, our private-sector jobs were being destroyed by his legislation.  According to the Colorado Oil & Gas Commission drilling permits are down 38 percent.  Why?  Don't we need the oil and natural gas?  Isn't the goal of all of this spending to create jobs?  No!

Actually it's to destroy a way of life.  Sam has talked with friends in the drilling industry here in Weld County.  It's actually worse than they are saying.  Some drillers and related businesses are doing their best to maintain their headcount and jobs in case something happens to repeal the destructive bills and regulations.  But if it doesn't happen, more jobs are coming down.  In the meantime, Ritter hires who he wants and does what he wants.  Did you vote for him?

She's Cute

According to Washington, D.C.'s "The Hill" publication, Colorado democrat Betsey Markey is one of the 50 most "beautiful people" on Capitol Hill.  Awwww.  Doesn't that give you a warm, fuzzy feeling.  Destroying America's freedoms, raising taxes, supporting more suppression of your life.  But she's cute.

Why Carry A Gun?

Sam found this link to a Grand Junction Sentinel article.  (Click to read here.)  In it a man violated a restraining order several times, assaulted a woman, was drunk and carrying an illegal firearm.  He is dead now, which is good.  However, it illustrates a point.  Sam believes in law-abiding citizens right to keep and bear arms.  Period.  No concealed carry permit except the second amendment (as Ted Nugent says).  No signing up with the police.  No piece of paper.  Just a gun, ammo, and a willingness to defend yourself, your family or your business.  Police do a fine job, but they usually show up after the crime has been perpetrated.  Sam carries a gun because a police officer is slower, heavier, and tougher to carry.  (That was a joke for all you liberals, out there.)  Purchase a firearm or two and some ammo.  Get trained.  Get real.  It is a dangerous world and we have the right to protect ourselves.

Obama Hell Care - Read For Yourself Without Any Opinions

Sam is providing you the unscripted, 1017 page House version of the Obama Hell (health) Care proposal (Click Link Here).  It takes awhile to load because of it's size as a .pdf file.  If you don't want to read it, read these lowlights from the crappy socialists who want to slam dunk this on you.  If you don't want this, you had better speak up now.  And you will understand why they want to vote on this quickly!  It's a piece of garbage, they want to put in place before you realize how much they want to control you, not serve you.  The points below are listed with corresponding page numbers in the bill itself.  This bill amounts to treason, if you ask Sam.

• Page 22:  all employers that self-insure will be audited.
• Page 29:  your health care will be rationed based on what the government decides is best for you.
• Page 30:  the government will decide what is best for you, and there is no appeal process.
• Page 50:  all non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
• Page 58:  every person will be issued a national ID healthcard.
• Page 59: the federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 65: taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (SEIU, UAW, ACORN, etc.)
• Page 124: no company can sue the government for "price fixing."  No "judicial review" is permitted.
• Page 126: employers MUST pay healthcare bills for part-time employees AND their families.
• Page 149: any employer with a payroll of $400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays an 8% tax on payroll.
• Page 167: any individual who doesn't have acceptable healthcare (as defined by the government) will be taxed $2.5% of income.
• Page 239: money paid to physicians under Medicaid will be reduced.
• Page 425: government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, powers of attorney, etc.
• Page 425: government provides approved list of end-of-life resources, guiding you in death.
• Page 427: government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment.  (Basically the government dictates how your life ends.)
• Page 429: advance care planning consult will be used to dictate treatment as patient's heath deteriorates.  This can include an ORDER for end-of-life plans.
• Page 494: government will cover mental health services, defining, creating and rationing them.

Can She Take Away Your Food?

Democrat representative Betsey Markeys interview on KFKA hasn't been publicized by the Lib Trib for obvious, glaring reasons.  For example, Markey said that the government has been working "so hard" to try and help the economy stabilize.  She said that she had been trying to help food banks get food, and help others out with troubles they were having.  It sounded so noble, so wonderful.

However, the government that can give you food can also take it away.  If we are to a point that we are relying on the government and our local representative to help us with food, then they are at a place where they can dictate who receives it, and whether they choose to bestow their favors on you or me.  That is flat-out dangerous!

Do you want that level of control over your life?  Your business?  Your ranch?  Well, the time to stand up has come.  Call Markey and the others and let them know their days are numbered.  All 535 members of congress need to be voted out!  Lets roll.

The Non-Story That Isn't

This column should not be written.  We should be dealing with far more important matters.  And yet, here it is.  What am I talking about?  A simple story really.  A story of incredible arrogance from a man who claims he is transparent and honest.  Obama.  His birth certificate.  You know.  The one we cannot see.

Now don't write Sam off yet.  He has a couple of points to make.  First, there is a chance that Obama is American born.  Well then, show me.  I have to show the long form of my birth certificate for my passport, employment, and other issues such as schooling.  As a natural-born American citizen, Obama works for me.  And you.  We have the right to see his long form birth certificate and know what information is on there.  But he will not show us.  Period!  He is either hiding something or he is arrogant.  Pure and simple!

Do you want to shut up the bloggers?  The conspiracy people?  Just show us the truth.  That's all the American people on the left and the right want.  The truth, the whole truth (the long form truth), and nothing but the truth, so help you God.  This should not be a story.  And the reason it is, is because Obama has hidden his documents, spent more than a million dollars concealing his records and identity, and then tries to tell us he's open and honest.  He sounds like a Chicago politician with blood-money in his closet if you ask Sam.  Just show us what we are entitled to see.  Now.

She Lied Again

On Saturday liberal democrat Betsey Markey was on KFKAs Open Range radio with Ken Clark.  She shared a few items and then took calls.  One of the callers asked about her campaigning on fiscal responsibility and then approving the Obama budget as well as TARP.  Markey said that she opposed TARP, that it was approved by the Bush administration and the congress before she came into power.  However, according to congressional voting records Markey voted yes on January 21st, regarding TARP oversight.  She also voted yes on March 19th to approve funding bonsues to AIG and others using TARP money!  Markey absolutely lied on air!

This is one of the things that hated politicians do.  They campaign one way and vote another.  We want people like this out of office.  She is a spender, a socialist, and a party player.  So when she tries to smooth things over, realize that you are looking at the front end of the cow.  But the back end is still full of crap.

Regional-RINO Goes To Work For Governor

RINO Don Marostica, who helped to gut the policy you voted for, which limits how much the state government can increase their spending, has been appointed by Democratic Gov. Ritter to the post of Colorado Economic Development coordinator.  Well, well.  Two peas, playing in the same pod.

There are other RINOs in Northern Colorado that might just as well follow the same path.  Work in bi-partisan fashion, enjoy the same social and economic viewpoints, gut the laws the people enacted, look for ways to control others while they themselves fly above the law.  This is the way of the RINO, the dem, and the socialist.  Watch for it while you are hunting them.  They need to become an endangered species in Colorado.

Who Is Profiling Whom?

Sam wants to know why impostor-in-chief Obama can boldly speak out when a white police officer arrests a loud, elderly black man.  He says the police acted stupidly, although there is still information that needs to be sorted through.  Obama quickly says that the corrupt president of Honduras needs to remain in power, although he and several aides were stealing millions of dollars (and were caught), rigged the election (and were caught), and the Honduran government acted to install a democratic form of government in the interim.  Obama spoke quickly on both of these issues.

However, Obama remains silent when Iran has problems.  Thousands demonstrate in the streets and many of these are killed.  Sam has seen the internet feeds of cell phone photos and videos showing the slaughter of innocents.  Does Obama speak up?  No!  He says they need to sort out their issues.  Does Obama speak out over the growing number of "honor killings" perpetrated by Muslims in the U.S. and Canada?  Absolutely not.  He is quick to attack Whites and Hispanics while others are protected.  Who is profiling whom?

Why Recovery Doesn't Work

Sam was wondering how all of these economic recovery funds were being spent.  So he located a chart on Recovery.gov.  And it answered a lot of questions.  First, the recovery dollars are taken from you and me, either directly through taxes and fees.  Or the money is borrowed against your children and debt is created.  Second, the money is run through congress at the Federal level.  And you know how they can save money (please note the sarcasm intended).  Third, the money is then awarded to places who "need" the money.  Who might these be?  Well, they are other government employees at the state level.  And this is supposed to create recovery?  Absolutely not!

Here's the chain.  Money taken from you, given to the Feds, a lesser amount given to the state, and you are poorer, the government is richer, and the recovery remains stalled.  This, my friends, is the liberal way of thinking.  Conservatives think money is better in your pocket and the government needs to stay out of free-market economics.  (Click here to see the chart of Colorado spending.)

Call The Fee-Raisers Themselves

Angry people are wondering where to turn after discovering Gov. Ritter and the liberals have raised their fees by a minimum of $40 per vehicle (including ATV's, boats, and RV's).  The answer is simple.  Call your governor and democratic representative.  Call Jim Riesburg and the local democratic offices in this area.  Make them feel the heat of your anger now, and then vote them out of office in the next election.

Park and Moffatt counties are providing postcards at the local license branches so angry people can send complaints to the governor.  Larimer county is suggesting people contact the governor, after Larimer county clerk reported near-riots to representative B.J. Nikkel (and the local police).  Elected officials need to feel the heat in order to see the light.

But the problems we are facing will not go away.  We cannot have big government and low taxes.  Cuts must come, and that means that programs must go away.  Get ready for some bloody battles with people who think the government is one big, plastic credit card.  This is only one example of the looming battles.

News Wrap-Up For Mid-July

Sam has been reading a recent issue of the Lib Trib with a great deal of humor.  It seems that one of their columnists had her identity stolen....again.  No problem.  It was one of God's children, and apparently they needed her identity more than she did.  It's not a crime.  It's a need.  Live and let live, you know?  Why is it a crime if a Lib Tribber has it happen to them, but a social issue if it happens to you or me?

Then there's the Iron Mountain Auto story that talks about how they haven't been making payroll and have been struggling out there.  Anyone who has shopped for a car out there knows that they train their sales people to behave like vultures and run you ragged.  Sam walked out of a sales deal out there because of their lack of ethics and integrity.  They could have gotten a decent sale.  But again, the Lib Trib fails to bring free-market applications into their news stories.

Finally, there's a national story.  In it we read that Obama is telling leaders of financial companies that they lack humility.  Now let's see.  He can send Michele and his daughters to Europe and make you pay for the vacation.  He can withhold all of his records while stating that he's open and transparent.  He can say that he will post every bill on the internet and not vote on it for 5 days, and then once elected immediately break that promise.  He can say that stimulus will work immediately and build new jobs, and then once it's passed he says exactly the opposite.  And he has the audacity to lecture others about humility?  He smells like a feedlot on a hot summer day.  Sam had to laugh.

How To Murder An Industry

The proposed "fracking" regulations by a couple of liberals in Colorado (Diana DeGette and Jared Polis) have been opposed by the Weld County commissioners along with others.  Why?  Because they know that they are nothing but government trying to destroy the oil and gas industry.  We are witnessing the communization of America through the liberals and their control of government, business, and now oil and gas (co-opted by Ritter at the state level).  Earth worship has gone to an entire new level.

Sam believes there are effective ways to keep our lands healthy and safe without controlling what others do with their private property.  Government has stepped way over the bounds and it's time to roll some things back.  The Libs are salivating over the prospect of running your life and mine.  Let's tell their slobbering souls no for a change, and keep our freedom, our businesses and our property rights where they should be.  In our hands and on our terms.  Good job, commissioners.  Now butt out, liberals.

The Government Owns Your Neighbor's House?

An article in the Lib Trib yesterday talked of Greeley's desire to purchase homes that are blighted in neighborhoods, fix them up, and resell them.  They would use socialist stimulus money to do this, so that neighborhoods could be helped.  But there's a truckload of problems with this approach.

First, if the government can buy your neighbor's house, fix it up, and flip it, it's competing with private investors who can do a better job.  Second, if they purchase the house, that price they pay impacts the value (negatively) of every similar home in the area.  Third, it opens the door for them to dictate what type of landscaping you and your neighbors can have in order for your home to be "presentable."  After all, if they can fix your neighbor's house up into stellar condition, they don't want your poverty to negatively impact their stimulus property, do they?

Friends, this is the old "socialism is the answer" argument making it's way through Greeley.  The solutions are not complex, and they are free-market in nature.  Let the home or property value fall to a point where someone will buy it, tear down the house or refurbish it.  Make people work for what they own instead of the government owning everything and being the benevolent landlord.  It's just evil repackaged, and coming to a street right beside you.  You'd better be voting these bums out.

The Size Of The Problem

Impostor-In-Chief and the band of Democratic thugs in the house and senate passed a so-called stimulus (actually porkulus) bill in early 2009 that amounted to more than $800 billion dollars (not including interest).  This was more money than our Federal government spent for the first 170 years of its existence.  Total!  Small, limited government worked then.  It works now.  Let's get back to it!

One Billion Dollars

According to the Colorado State house of representatives reports you and I are going to be paying for taxes and fees amounting to 1 billion dollars more than we are paying now, within the next two years!  Those are Colorado taxes and fees, not federal increases.  So, who do we thank for this?  Thank the liberals.  Gov. Ritter, Jim Riesburg, every stinking democrap office holder and some of the whiny RINO's in the area like the bedwetter who advocated cutting out the limitations we voters placed on raising taxes.

Are you getting raises and cost-of-living adjustments to compensate for this?  No?  Well, Sam isn't either.  So, it's time to vote out the liberals and socialists.  It's time to cut jobs (instead of increasing state jobs like Ritter did this year).  Because if you don't vote conservative, you will pay liberally!  One billion dollars will come out of your pocket in the next two years.  How do you like that?

Near-Riot Not Reported

The recent hike in "fees" (that's a liberal code word for "taxes") on vehicle registrations has so infuriated Colorado that there have been near-riot conditions and even death threats at some Northern Colorado Motor Vehicle registration offices.  The new fees took effect July 1st, but very little has been said in the Lib Trib about it.  Public reaction has been ignored at this point.

However, Colorado state representative B.J. Nikkel said in a recent interview that police have been called into the Larimer County branch on two separate occasions to quell violence and threats.  Have you heard about this?  I didn't think so.  Have you asked yourself why you don't hear about this?

I'll tell you why.  It's because papers like the Lib Trib are in the Democrat's hip pocket.  They don't report on how Grandpa Jim Riesburg (a liberal, take-all-your-money-for-socialism democrat) votes these things into being and then hides.  They don't report on how Gov. Ritter and the democratic majority have raised taxes and fees, damaged the business environment in Northern Colorado with more regulation, and slam-dunked the union way of corruption on the state.  Nah!  That would be news!  So when there are riots in the Motor Vehicle branches, expect to hear about it here and in other places.  But don't look to the Libs and their Tribs to tell you much.  Socialists stick together.  But they don't write or report much truth.  You have to find that elsewhere.

Union Defends Lawbreakers And Thieves

Sam has been traveling during the past week where no internet access was available, and caught up on some reading during that time.  An article on page 5 of the July 3-16 issue of the Northern Colorado Business Report caught his eye for it's twisted views.  It was about a report done by the United Food and Commercial Workers Union on the 2006 ICE raids at the Swift Plants (including the one in Greeley).  The conclusion?  Well, the union said that civil liberties were trampled, the poor workers were seized for questioning, and that Obama will fix things.  Surprise, surprise.

What was obviously ignored was the success of the raids.  Nearly 12,000 workers were questioned by ICE, and out of these 1,300 were arrested.  From this pool, 274 workers were charged with identity theft crimes and illegal alien status!  Yes, really!  And 1,100 others were legal workers who were in violation of their terms of work agreements!  So technically there were nearly 1,300 arrests for violations and blatant crimes!  But the union calls this failure!

Sam thinks getting 274 criminals and thieves off the streets is a good thing!  He also thinks a one-day sweep that gets another 1,100 violators to toe the mark and behave better is excellent!  ICE is not authorized to live and let live.  They are authorized to seek, arrest, deport, and scare people who are lawbreakers.  They did a good job.  But of course you won't hear that from the liberal unions, or most Democrats.  Nor will you hear it from Obama...who is now supposed to "fix" things.  What a twisted, sick society where evil is called good, and good is now evil.  Stand up freedom-loving Americans or ICE will end up hunting us instead.

Time For A Vacation

Sam will be gone for a week or so.  It's the traveling and vacationing season, so your Greeley Report will be quiet for a week.  You can catch up on some of the past columns, or monitor how much the government paid for Michele Obama's European vacation (and it came out of your wallet).  Enjoy the Summer.  It could be a very interesting Fall!

Nice Parade, More Or Less

Sam Hill enjoyed the Independence Day weekend as he associated with like-hearted people and watched fireworks.  He also enjoyed the parade in Greeley on the 4th.  Here are a few observations.  First, it was nice to see a good number of the candidates and representatives of our government.  Sam noticed the response was downright chilly when Markey rode by (and later walked).  And Sam was sitting in a liberal section!  He was also glad to see her future opponents had representation in the parade; Cory Gardner and Tom Lucero.

There were no big balloons, no 9News, no candy throwing or water spraying, and very little excitement.  It's obvious the geritol generation doesn't want this parade to be fun, and that's going to have to change.  If it doesn't the parade will slowly die from this point on.  If it can revitalize itself it will rise from the ashes.  It is nice to see the home-grown floats, friendly folks, and friends sitting in clusters along the side.  Sam's heart is always stirred by the flags, the soldiers and the veterans.  It was truly what the weekend was all about.  God bless America.  Long live America.  Now let's rebuild it from what the current administration is trying to do to it!

Extra Paid Vacation You Paid For

Yesterday AIMS Community College and the University of Northern Colorado were closed.  They will be closed today as well, in honor of July 4th.  Sam can understand the reason for being closed on the Friday since the holiday falls on a Saturday.  But closing for two days?  Both paid at your expense?  It doesn't make sense, does it.  In this day of higher taxes and a new realm of fees slammed on us by Big Budget Bill Ritter and his cronies in the statehouse, we shouldn't be paying for more time off.
