The more we learn about the recent budget negotiations and deal in Washington, D.C., the more angering the entire debacle becomes. Consider this. Congress touted the deal as having created $38.5 billion in spending cuts. However, after they removed recissions, cut reserve funds, and cut back a few mandatory spending programs, we discover the deal only cut a mere $14.7 billion. The 535 men and women on Capitol Hill are overspending by trillions, and they can only cut $14 billion? It borders on treason.
Business Insider, John Ellis said this about the deal.
"It turns out that the budget agreement that all parties were hailing this past weekend as a "great achievement" is in fact a joke. Any Republican who was elected with even a sliver of Tea Party support is now duty-bound to vote against it on Friday. Every 2012 Republican presidential hopeful is now duty-bound to demand that it be voted down."
Are you listening, Mr. Gardner? Will you finally stand up and take a stand against this, or are you a part of politics as usual? We will be watching on Friday. You had better vote no, or we might have to when your term comes up once again. (We know you are already raising funds for your reelection campaign, and quite frankly, if you don't develop a backbone we will bolt for the exits.)

Steve you are part of the problem instead of the solution, RINO supporter= Republican In Name Only- now that has to be the answer, just more of the same. Talk about a kiss ass Wow pucker Stevie.

Frank,
That is the trap of this two party system (good-cop, bad-cop). I don't know about you, but I feel manipulated. It's not working. This country is going to face a financial mega-disaster that will make the Great depression seem like a picnic. Right now the democrats are doing absolutely everything they can to keep a lid on this to increase their chances in 2012. The disaster will be so great that I will be surprised if we are still one nation five years from now. Inevitably there will be a third party.
Definition of insanity? Keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome. The mouse in the maze, keeps traveling the same path - no cheese!
Here are some questions for you:
-What will happen when China liquidates all of our US dollars for a more favorable currency?
-What will happen when OPEC no longer accepts the USD?
-Do you know that there is talk within the administration and some members of congress about using your retirement funds (IRA's) for collateral?
-What will be the outcome of reduced wages, inflation and massive erosion of home values?
-What will the value of the USD be if we default on our loans to China?
-Will our government trade real estate and other tangible assets to China in place of our worthless currency?
-Will our military defend us when they are paid in worthless dollars? Or will they go home to protect their families?
We will be faced with these issues within the next 4-5 years, if not sooner. So you go ahead and vote democrat or republican, just don't expect a different outcome.

Fewer Democrats. Not less. A vote for anyone except a Republican is a vote for a Democrat. Emote all you want at the ballot box, but you can't escape reality.

Correction: Their, not there. Sorry :)

I tell you it's time to "throw your vote away". Do not vote democrat, and do not vote republican. The democrats are completely out of the question for any sane, rational citizen of the USA, as the democrats just cannot fathom "less government". They are automatically off the board. The republicans are not listening. My heart tells me to vote with the Constitution Party, but my head wants to support the "Tenthers". The Tea Party is a farse. I joined the Tea Party before last election. They send me e-mails regularly, but if you ever try to link to any of there articles you have to run a gambit of "donation requests" that never allow you to the article unless you donate (sounds too much like what we already have in government, the Tea Party doesn't get it).
Bottom line: The ONLY THING THAT WILL HELP THIS COUNTRY IS LESS GOVERNMENT!!! Whatever it takes - vote for less taxes, less government, less democrats.

There are 2 realistic options. One is roughly what has been outlined by Paul Ryan. The other is roughly what was proposed today by Pres. Obama. Rep. Gardner supports Ryan's approach. If you pick a fight with Gardner on this budget, where R's control only 1/2 of 1/3 of the federal government, you're supporting the Obama approach.

Or else, what? Support the Dem? Run a primary candidate against him, thereby ensuring the Dem wins? Cory lives in the real world. Publish your name and those who follow you, then tell candidates what to do. Your cowardice and arrogance are amusing.
