On March 20 a Florida pastor held a formal trial for the Islamic Koran, charging the text incited murder, rape, and terrorist activities. It was found to be guilty, and a kerosene-soaked copy was subsequently burned in flagrant disregard for Muslim preferences. You see, Muslims insist that their Koran, pictures of Mohammed, and other Islamic items are taken absolutely seriously and may not be harmed in any way.
This week, riots broke out in Afghanistan. Neighboring Pakistan joyfully spread the news into the nation that a Koran had been bured by Americans. So, the Afghanis were filled with rage...and attacked a United Nations post, killing 7 U.N. workers and two police officers. Fourteen Afghanis were also killed in the melee. So much for the religion of peace.
Why did the rioters attack a U.N. post? It's simple. They want the United Nations to apply pressure on the United States and force sharia down the throats of U.S. Citizens. However, there's a problem. We the people are protected by something called the Constitution. We have rights to free speech, public demonstrations, and even have the ability to demonstrate in ways that others may condemn (including flag, Bible and Koran burning). But Muslims understand what well-applied brutality can do. So they set about murdering and beheading the innocent. No, they didn't burn Bibles or flags; they killed people.
Senator Lindsey Graham, a so-called conservative, immediately stepped into the fray. He condemned...the pastor in Florida for burning the Koran! Others also criticized the minister for his "15 minutes of fame." But while this pastor burned a book, few understood their governmental role, to support and defend the Constitution and the citizens of the United States.
Sharia is insidious. It is being carried into the highest halls of U.S. government, portraying itself as the proper moral compass. And it will influence people on the left and the right. But the facts are stark in comparison. Islam is a religion of war, the Koran is a sham, and the followers of Islam seek to conquer the West. While a Florida pastor may (or may not) have been unwise in his approach, he still has a right to his actions under the U.S. Constitution. Sharia is not liberty-based. It is Islamic and therefore tyrannical. Watch for it coming to a city council meeting, school board, or neighborhood association near you.

godsgreeley, you are soooo right. I am sick of this. Take your Korans and go home.

Muslim clerics called for mass anti-American demonstrations. Last Friday, in northern Afghanistan’s largest city, Mazar-e-Sharif, thousands of protesters poured out of the large Blue Mosque and marched toward the United Nations mission a mile away. The angry, fanatical mob descended upon the compound and slaughtered seven United Nations workers - including defenseless women. The protesters chanted “death to America” and burned the U.S. flag. Demonstrations have continued to spread throughout the country.

Very well said.

Whoarethesenuts, The difference in the scenarios is this: People have burned Bibles for centuries. Yet I've yet to see a news article detailing how Christians have killed a bunch of other people because of it. Christians are willing to die for their faith, Muslims are willing to kill for theirs.

Whoarethesenuts,
Here's an idea. We should only burning one Koran for every innocent the terrorists kill.
Then it will all stop, right.
Oh, we should do away with all printing presses so this all makes sense. LOL

Dear Wowwhoarethesenuts,
I will bite, let’s play tid for tad.
What does the author think of the Bible being burned? Same thing as me. We do not like it but we understand it will happen. Same with the flag. As the Bible says, turn the other cheek.
On the flipside, the Koran says, kill the infidels.
You can look it up on Youtube. He is suggesting we use our military might to force our Bill of Rights upon these lunatics. He wants them to embrace religious freedom.

Wow, the author of this is insane. The crazy pastor's church consists of 20-25 clueless individuals. Sharia law taking over in the USA?
Where does this site come up with all these conspiracy theories?
Stunningly stupid.
I wonder what the author would think of the Afgans burning our holy book? Possibly condemn all individuals who follow Islam and write about what a destructive religion it is? Oops, the stupids have all ready done that.
Pot meet the black kettle.

We need to burn 1000 more. Does anybody know how to utube anonymously?
1000 burnt books will either cause them to kill eachotehr or wake up and realize what freedom is.

Muhammad was a false prophet, as Jesus warned. Islam, with sharia law, is a form of government; therefore, it cannot be upheld under our Constitution. The murders in Afganastan are a direct result of evil, murdering, Islamo-facists and they should be brought to justice. Pastor Jones, as misguided as he might be, has a right under our Constitution to burn the koran. I do not see his act as a Christian thing to do, and would not have done it myself, as much as I believe that islam is the religion of the devil. American politicians should refrain from condemning a US citizen from exercising his/her Constitutional right, particularly when it only feeds the frenzy of those obsessed with the devil's religion.
Why does islam hate Jewish people and Christians? The same question rephrased; why does the devil hate God and Jesus? Why can't we all just get along?
To nonbelievers: Why have you not stopped religion by now? Think about it. We wage a war of good vs. evil on this earth every day. It has always been that way, and it will always be that way. That is because the Bible is truth.
