Last week Greeley Report divulged data the Stampede Committe doesn't want you to know.  Not only has their highly-controlled, liberally organized July 4th parade turned into a milquetoast walk down a hot street, but now it has become clear they despise free-speech and the U.S. Constitution.  They charge groups involved with politics twice the amount they charge others to be in the parade, on July 4th weekend, the celebration season that gave birth to politics and local government in the United States!

Quite frankly, the Stampede won't do anything about their policies...yet.  However, more locals are seeing through their liberal facade, and deserting the Stampede in droves.  Last year they charged at the door for admissions.  This year they will likely do the same once again.  They like free speech and capitalism as long as it takes your money and transfers it to their organization.  But what about when the shoe is on the other foot?

You see, the Stampede Committee works with sponsors that provide them with funding.  Many of these sponsors are large companies, but there are several local businesses included in their ranks as well.  Perhaps efforts should be made to contact the local supporters of the liberal Stampede, and demand to know why they would support such an unfair, biased, and divisive organization.  Money still talks, and the Stampede needs it.  Of course the Lib Trib supports the Stampede and you won't get anywhere talking with them.  But try others on the list, and see what they say about their support of liberals and Demoncrats, and their opposition to free speech rights.  Take a look at the partial list below or click here to see a complete list of sponsors.

Memorial Day

Today Greeley Report honors those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our national freedom.  From the seven members of the NATO team that were killed last week, to remembering those that gave their lives during the Revolutionary War while standing on a Village Green in New England, we are eternally grateful for your heroism, strength, and courage.

To those that serve (or have served) in the military, law enforcement, and as first responders to crises, we also honor you this day.  Thank you for your service.  Words cannot express our appreciation.  You embody freedom in your actions.  Thank you.

General Douglas MacArthur once stated, “I am concerned for the security of our great Nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within”.   

If Randy Bangert, Sherrie Peif and Bart Smith of the Tribune were reporting on MacArthur, they would call this a, “rant” and,  -  “afterwards he (MacArthur) left in a huff”.   

I report from first hand observations that those insidious forces have taken firm hold of the American education system and our media.  Since the sixties, when God was unconstitutionally kicked out of schools, violence, drugs and teen pregnancies dramatically increased. Testing and tests were and are progressively softened.  Today, we have generations of these “insidious forces” that have already locked down nearly all government and media as well. 

I have explained over a dozen exciting solutions to this school board which have never even made it to the board meetings.  I have attempted to introduce what I have seen work repeatedly in business and at other school systems.  My brother is on a school board.  There are schools in the Colorado Mountains that have actually given money back as a surplus this year!  There are new ideas that are working!  But as any employee or former employee well knows, this administration/board are experts at the "old runaround".  And I mean experts.  

Let’s truly be progressive and start discussing new ideas; it's what will turn us around!  Instead, this board holds meetings that either attack me and add even more board policies (total waste of time) or congratulate itself endlessly. It is because of these two reasons that 90% of my absences have occurred.  Until this board concentrates on education, I will happily continue to leave meetings early!!  It's not a "huff", it's a statement, Mr. Bangbert!

So today, when a rare and very lonesome soul stands against the firestorm, not only is she/he vastly outnumbered on the playing field, but the media run the scoreboard, “reporting” to the public and disfiguring him forever.   But today, our local Lib Trib is not only libeling me (yes I am suing) but has sent reporter Nate Miller to leaders in our community and is pushing hard to get them to “throw me under the bus” and agree that I am not fit for office, based on the stories they have been printing.  All to set up a recall election.

The politics of personal destruction are dreadful enough when they are entered into by one’s political opponents.  But when a local newspaper turns their reporters into opps research lackeys, it’s no longer possible to sort truth from agenda.  Though it is becoming more obvious with every unfounded attack.

I am holding to my campaign promises of conservative values and fiscal principles.  For years, this district has been sinking in waste and unwise curriculum decisions because the administrators are totally incompetent, with degrees in some ambiguous education field, not in business or management or people. 

The Tribune finally destroyed Ed Clark, who had no other media to respond with and because of the torment his wife and family were under, faded from the scene.  Mike Peters stated that “Reese will go the same route as Clark”. Gods unto themselves.  However, the Lib Trib risks great danger of losing another rare sliver of credibility. And I’m a fighter. I will not go away unless we improve our schools through dramatic means, or I make my goals and objectives clearly known, but still my constituents are swayed to abandon me.

The Greeley Tribune has misreported or deliberately lied (libel) in their reports…

           “Reese shook his finger, red faced, at Tribune reporter Peif” LIE

          “Police officer then asked Reese to leave”           LIE

Reporter Sherrie Peif later explained to me that if I had given her a comment, she wouldn’t have printed these “things”.  I asked her if a “no” comment gave her license to lie.  She only replied, “let’s move on, and you will comment to me from now on”.

The Tribune is using every strategy they know to paint me as a hot-headed, ranting "cowboy" that needs to be recalled.  To those who know me and know the truth, I am working hard to bring new ideas which are the only chance this district has for success.

Choose who you will believe, because somebody is lying.

Declaring The Constitution Unconstitutional

The taxpayers in Colorado were fed up.  State bureaucrats were feasting like overstuffed gluttons on revenues gleaned from state growth, and were living like no end was in sight.  So Colorado passed a state referendum now know as TABOR, the taxpayers bill of rights.  In it, they limited the ability of state legislators to increase taxes.

Recently, thanks to the work of RINO's, Demoncrats, and the ultra-liberal state courts, TABOR was muzzled and weakened significantly.  Now, the libs want to deal it a death blow.  How?  By declaring it unconstitutional.  They say it nullifies the "Republican" form of government in our society, by putting restraints on legislators abilities to raise taxes!

TABOR was a constitutional referendum, passed by voter initiative.  If it were nullified by the courts, what else could go?  What about civil rights that were passed by voter initiative?  What about laws on the books in a myriad of various issues?  Can they be unconstitutional now, too?  This really opens up a can of worms.

Despite the dangerous legal waters, many Demoncrats and RINO's have signed on to support this lawsuit, including Weld County District 6 School Board member Bruce Broderius.  Apparently he hates the fact that someone has the guts to oppose tax hikes and greedy politicians.  Broderius and his ilk may sound noble when they argue for representative government, but the people are becoming increasingly outraged.  Watch this lawsuit closely.  If it's thrown out of court, good!  If not...well, it's only your rights and desires being flushed down the toilet by an elitest few.

 

Gouging, Extortion, And No Independence

July 4th is the ultimate expression of free speech and politics.  On that day our forefathers boldly declared their independence from the British crown (without asking his permission), and formed their own nation.  The USA was born that day, and it was rowdy, rough-and-tumble, and birthed in individual self-determination.  Then the Greeley Stampede Committee stepped in.

The Stampede Committee will tell you that they "like" the concept of independence.  But it's a little too...independent.  That's why they need to regulate and control it.  And how do they do this?

• First, they take control of a community event, and license it with the name with "Independence" in it. 

• Then, they charge you for independence, if you want t march in their "community" parade.

• They control what you can and cannot say or do in the parade itself (because it's all about free speech...right?).

• And they charge political parties and politically-related groups twice as much as the others!  On the day when we celebrate politics, freedom and bold independence, the local facist committee charges them double!  Talk about gouging liberty with a dull stick!

We should have known this would happen.  After all, the majority of the Stampede committee is comprised of liberal Demoncrats.  They like facism, because it keeps them successful while suppressing the freedom of others.  (This is often like established businesses approving regulation because after all, they are already successful and don't care if potential competition in a small, struggling business is suppressed.)  So what do they seek to suppress in Weld County?  Political freedom!  If they cannot suppress it, at least they can force you to pay double.  It sounds like liberal extortion to me.

Make no mistake, the Stampede Committee is a well-oiled machine.  They work every year with sponsors and corporations in this area to rake in revenue.  These sponsors are the backbone of the operation, and they need to be challenged for supporting liberals and socialists.

• Maybe someone (that would be you) needs to call Stampede sponsors and "enlighten" them.

• Maybe someone needs to organize a truly free Independence Day parade.

• Maybe someone needs to start boycotting Stampede events.

After all, true independence is a dangerous thing.  It's not controlled by a committee, corporation or even a government.  It's inherently created for you and me, and we give these groups a measure of our regard.  When they overstep their bounds, it's time to say no more.  On Independence Day, they shouldn't be gouging politics so they can have more in their pockets, even if they are Demoncrats and RINO's.  It's time for a redistribution...of freedom.  Let them know...it's on.

Regulating Businesses Into The Ground

Six years ago, the Dollarhite family of Nixa, Missouri wanted to teach their son a few ecomonic lessons.  So they obtained a couple of rabbits (one male and one female), and started breeding them on their three acre property.  Word spread that the Dollarhites had rabbits for sale, and folks began to buy.  Last year was their most profitable year; they did approximately $4,600, and netted $200 in profits for the entire year.

Now the USDA has notified the Dollarhites they must pay a fine of $90,000.  Why?  Because they sold more than $500 in bunnies in one calendar year.  If they do not pay the fine, they may be subject to fines ranging in the millions!

In this era of doublespeak, governments tell us frequently they are pro-business.  They claim to be especially pro-small-business.  However, when you delve into the regulations every small business and start-up operation faces, the challenges are daunting.  Try confronting a local government official at the city or county level with this information and most of the time they will sympathize, pat you on the back, and urge you to comply with the list of taxes, fees and regulations they claim to hate.  It's a double standard.

We can't have it both ways.  Either government is going to have to back off taxing, feeing and regulating, or business will move elsewhere.  Greeley Report knows businesses that are ready to move out of Greeley, Evans, Weld County and other areas simply because of the local control.  Send this article to your local officials.  Let them know that if they look more like the USDA than a helpful, pro-business leader, they can soon start a new business of their own.  And it won't be as an elected official.  (Link here to article.)

Let's Leave Now

According to the alleged brain trust that runs mainstream media and government, Usama bin Laden is dead.  He died of "lead poisioning" while living in the middle of Pakistan, not more than 1,000 yards from their version of "West Point Military Academy."  Good job.

Now what?  We seem to have gotten our man, the main terrorist that masterminded hatred and destruction against the U.S.  So let's get out of there.  Let's get our troops out of Afghanistan, Pakistan and whatever Islamo-stan province they guard.  After all, the Muslims tell us they can create a better nation than ours with their ways.  Let's let them show us.

There are a couple of issues that must be dealt with, if we are to leave.  The first issue is this: we need to believe the Muslims.  And quite frankly, we don't.  What do they do, to protest bin Laden's death?  They blow up...more Muslims!  Not Jews nor Christians (although they are mighty good at destroying them, too).  They kill each other.  So, we don't believe them.  But if we leave, perhaps they will just kill each other and leave us alone.

The other issue that needs to be addressed is Obama.  He said he would get us out of the Middle East, Iraq, and the Stan-lands.  But he hasn't lived up to one of his promises yet.  The liberals should be screaming and marching in the streets because their supposed pragmatic, peace-loving President has become the lead pawn of the military industrial complex, but they won't.  They like their bread and circuses too much, and Obama knows it.  So our troops remain in Afghanistan, Iraq and other hell-holes thanks to a liberal.  Go figure that one out!

Greeley Report thinks that the U.S. is going to remain in the Middle East for the foreseeable future.  Bin Laden was merely campaign material, and Obama reluctantly gave the okay to kill him.  It's all a part of the game.  And you, me, and the military are the pawns.

Nuclear Rain?

The rains have been a boon to the agricultural base in Weld County during the past couple of days.  While they won't help everyone, they will provide some relief to friends and neighbors that rely on nature's cycles.  However, another event affecting nature has seemingly been buried, and it also comes in the rain.  It is the unseen, unheard threat of nuclear radiation.

According to latest reports, nuclear reactor #4 at the Fukushima reactor plant in Japan is on the verge of complete meltdown.  While the direct impact will be felt in the local Japanese region, there are also residual effects that carry (via wind and ocean currents) to places such as Colorado.

Search for a story on local radiation levels, monitoring and impacts on dairy, crops and cattle.  You will find virtually nothing.  But this should be news.  Radiation is a silent threat that destroys life and health via airborne particles.  It can be dropped via rain and snow, and carried on the winds.  Perhaps it's time to search out what is going on in Japan once again, and what the effects of this disaster are on Northern Colorado.

Stupid!

This week third grade reading scores came out via CSAP, and the results were not good for District 6.  But you wouldn't know that if you read about it in the Lib Trib.  It would take the Denver Post article to give you more of a balanced viewpoint, and they are liberal, too!

So let's be clear here.  The Lib Trib article was factual in stating that District 6 reading scores were down.  But then they went on to state how the impoverished schools made positive strides.  They also quoted the Superintendent (Ranelle Lang) as saying that things had advanced overall over previous years.

The problem with this is simply that it's not effective journalism.  It's unpaid publicity for District 6 that is undeserved and violently skewed.  If the results had been different (say, the charter and less impoverished schools were improved, but the others were not), the story line would have been hugely weighted to reflect the District desires to throw money into the situation.  Moaning would have been rampant over how the poor were ignored.  But where is the moaning now?  Apparently the kids at Billie Martinez have been getting a great deal of attention while others have been largely ignored.  That's news!  Did anyone report that?  No!

Here are the facts.

• We have an overpaid superintendent and mediocre results in the district.

• The Lib Trib plays shill for the District with various issues, whacking what the administration dislikes, and trumpeting whatever they love.

• Most of the school board members are content with business as usual, because anything else would deserve introspection and personal change on their part.

• District 6 voters deserve better.  This is why clear-cut candidates need to emerge.  The culture is rancid and the students, parents and teachers are the ones that are hurt by this.  It's time for change.

When contrasted to Adams District 14, Greeley did not fare well, even though Adams 14 is not particularly strong in it's education and student demographics.  It completely crumbled when compared to districts that excel, such as Douglas County.  District 6 should be looking at the winners, dumping the losers, and become innovative once again.  Anything less is unacceptable. 

Sleazy Republicans (And Other Democrats)

Recently a new Federal judge was appointed to the bench with credentials that should make you scream.  Jack McConnell has been involved as a lawyer in tobacco-related lawsuits, cases involving lead paint decisions, and also served (get this) as the former director of Planned Parenthood in Rhode Island.  So how did he get to become a Federal judge?  He accomplished this feat thanks to the help of...Republicans.

McConnell's appointment was stalled in committee, and he could have been permanently trapped there.  However, a group of 11 Republicans decided it was the "noble thing to do," to allow his appointment to come to a vote.  If four of these Republicans had stood their ground, McConnell would not be a Federal judge with a lifetime appointment today.

So, who were these RINO's?  They were Lamar Alexander (Tennessee), Scott Brown (the so-called conservative from Massachusetts), Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe (Maine), Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson (Georgia), Lindsey Graham (S. Carolina), Mark Kirk (Illinois), John McCain (Arizona), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and John Thune (S. Dakota).

When questioned about their votes, these RINO's disclosed the fact that they voted against the judge in the full vote, but didn't want to duplicate the tactics of Senate Demoncrats who blocked President George W. Bush's judical nominees by holding them in committee and keeping their nominations from coming up for vote on the Senate floor.  My question is, "why not?"

These idiot Republicans have forgotten they were sent to D.C. to represent conservative values, and they need to use every tactic in the book to serve us well.  However, they think that somehow they are supposed to be "noble" in battle, and wage politics decently.  This is an outrage and stupid thinking.  Politics are a battle, and they need to fight to win.  Now they have become a herd of RINO's, and will try to delude people into thinking that they are nice people.  They couldn't be further from the truth.

This is precisely why independents are gaining Republicans in their ranks.  They hate RINO's and those that have "R's" behind their names to get votes and then do whatever they want.  If these are the Republicans representing conservatives, they might as well vote Demoncrat.  It's two sides of the same party.  Are you listening, local Republicans?  If you don't you will lose consistently from here forward.

Why I Voted Democrat

There are reasons one might have to vote Democrat, read the Lib Trib, or support the majority side of the District 6 school board.  But the reasons don't make sense to most folks.  The following is a perfect example of their reasoning.

Why I Voted Democrat

1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
   
3. I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
4. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.  Even though in Chicago last year, for example, guns were banned, but they still had over 700 murders...mostly by guns.
5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.
6. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education and Social Security benefits.
8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.  They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.
9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.
10. I voted Democrat because I think it's better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle or gopher.
11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised "Hope and Change."
12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ..., it's unlikely that I'll ever have a sane point of view.

And The Winner Is...

When the politicos of the nation get together annually in the CPAC conference it's always news to the mainstream press. However, the straw poll results were anything but mainstream this year.  Each year a poll is taken to try and determine the front running candidates that would contend for the Presidency against the current impostor-in-chief, Obama.  And for the second year in a row, the straw poll winner was...Libertarian Ron Paul.

These results did not sit well with CNN.  They broadcast their open disdain immediately.  And even so-called conservatives such as Sean Hannity were a bit miffed.  Why?  Because Ron Paul excused himself from an interview with Hannity to attend a Tea Party rally.

You and I, the average citizen in America are increasingly fed up with the manure fed to us by both parties.  This gives Libertarians an edge.  So when Ron Paul takes a poll, it should be news to both mainstream political parties.  Either they move toward good old American values and stop acting like they are branches of the same party, or they lose more and more of our votes.  This is nothing but good news for you and me, and the mainstream media don't want you to know.  It's going to be a great Presidential campaign cycle.  And America needs a rough and tumble debate.  It would do us all a great deal of good.

What Redistricting Means To You

The Colorado redistricting battle has hit national news cycles in recent days, with the Washington Post labelling the fight as dirty and underhanded, especially on the side of the liberals (Link to article here).  But wait!  Don't the liberals love equality, tolerance, trees, endangered species and independents?  Apparently not.

Republican Senator Greg Brophy tried to get the redistricting meetings held in public, so we the people could see the antics of our elected officials.  But that was too much for the liberals.  They have been crafting maps in private for months, perhaps years.  And they know that the liberals in the state court system will bend in their direction.  They want to keep liberal socialists like DeGette, Polis and Perlmutter in power, while taking stabs at unseating Tipton, Gardner and others.  This is the constant battle of politics, and you need to know about it.

Most people think that politics is about doing the greater good.  If that were the case, we would already have redistricting maps drawn that made sense.  There would be equal numbers of Republicans, Democrats and Independents in each quadrant.  Each district would not end near Denver, but would represent geographic sectors as well.  But the proposals the socialists put forth do anything but that.  Why?  Because they understand the nature of politics is to win, to impose your views and values on others.  This is why redistricting matters.  If you want a socialist state, keep silent.  If not, contact your state senators and representatives and let them know you are watching this process.  It reveals their true agenda.  And it will probably end up in the hands of liberal judges before it's all over.

Why The Distrust?

The newspapers and media are having a field day with some of the right-wingers conspiracy theories.  They want pictures and even photographs of bin Laden, to verify all the gory details of the death.  Of course there are those that will never believe no matter how much verification they receive.  Some folks still think the earth is flat.  (Just google "flat earth society" and see what comes up!)

There is, however, a deeper issue this controversy brings out.  It is the deepening level of distrust for government as a whole, and the overall disdain entrenched liberals convey.  As an example, check out liberal socialist Jim Riesberg's comments recently about the rank and file citizen he is supposed to serve.  At committee hearings over SB11-200, Riesberg stated that an individual citizen is "simply of no consequence" (his words, not mine).  What an elitist jerk!

It's not a coincidence therefore, that there is extreme distrust of Obama and the statements he makes.  His socialist agenda runs along the same vein as Riesberg's, and his behavior toward citizens of the United States is the same as well.  We are "of no consequence."  So when Obama tells us bin Laden is dead, we don't trust him.  (For the record, Sam Hill believes Seal Team Six got their man, and the story is legitimate.)  Why?  Because he has not only concealed his entire life story, but he has released falsified documents, and his mindset is like that of other socialists like local HD50 Representative Riesberg.

When U.S. citizens distrust government at the Federal and State levels because of their lies, fraud, and socialism, something is horribly wrong.  We have elected people we distrust, and they do their jobs in ways we dislike.  We the people have the greater problem, because we have falsely assumed electing amoral candidates will produce success, and we couldn't have been more wrong.  Bin Laden is probably dead, but our distrust lives on.  And until we start electing candidates with personal integrity and values that espouse liberty (not socialism), we will continue to deepen in our distrust of government and what it says and does.

Who Is Racist Now?

Last week Barack Obama decided to do something about immigration reform.  On Thursday he met with a coalition of "influential Hispanics," to discuss fixing the system.  His staff said the discussion was going to focus on fostering a "constructive national conversation on this important issue."

So, who were the luminaries, the brain trust, that met with Obama?  They were none other than actress Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives star), actresses Rosario Dawson and America Ferrera, Univision hosts Don Francisco and Maria Elena Salinas, and the anchors of Telemundo, Vanessa Hauc and Jose Diaz-Balart.

Did Obama meet with the Governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer?  No!  Did he call to meet with Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck, who has personally seen hundreds of itentity theft cases cross his desk?  No.  Obama met with movie stars and talking heads.  No whites, blacks, or Asians.  Just hispanics.  And then he tells us that we should not be racist or play games with issues.  What a hypocrite.

If immigration is broken and needs fixed Obama should be talking with the people that matter, including legal immigrants, state governors and attorney generals, law enforcement officers, and others that are on the front lines.  This was nothing more than eye-candy and politics as usual.  Perhaps our Weld County officials should meet with Eva Longoria as well.  After all, if she's a Federally recognized subject matter expert...  Nah.  It was just Obama cozying up to the liberal and beautiful once again.

Now What?

Osama Bin Laden has been killed, thanks to the efforts of the relentless U.S. Military and Intelligence workers.  He was found in a mansion instead of a cave, and was residing comfortably in a beautiful section of Pakistan (Abbottabad), not far from Islamabad.  The region is surrounded by Pakistani military, and yet U.S. teams (probably special operations) went in with two helicopters, killed Bin Laden, his son and a few others (including two couriers), recovered the body, and returned to Afghanistan with no loss of U.S. lives.  Bravo!

While this will be a blow to Al Qaeda, it will not stop them.  Recent disclosures of threats possibly linked to the group show potential harm if Bin Laden was captured or killed.  One threat, comprised of 25 letters released, claim nuclear bombs are in place within the U.S., to retaliate (Link here to CBS story).  Another threat released via Wikileaks indicates a "nuclear hellstorm" in Europe if bin Laden is captured or killed (Here's a link to that information).

It's obvious today is a great day, and our military and intelligence forces are to be commended!  They have demonstrated their commitment to get their man.  Pakistan is sure to be angered by our bold venture into the middle of their country, but they were not to be trusted either, no matter what Musharraf or any other Pakistani leader says.  One thing is sure.  Islamic terror will continue.  Not Christian, nor Buddhist, nor atheist terror.  It's all Islamic.  The U.S. must continue to focus on this realm and regard it with suspicion, to diffuse the dangers our nation faces.  Anything else is overly simplistic and short-sighted.
