Sam Hill is not Brett Reese, nor is Greeley Report operated by such.  However, Greeley Report has agreed to release Reese's editorials verbatim.  The following is his editorial rejected (as usual) by the Lib Trib.

General Douglas MacArthur once stated, “I am concerned for the security of our great Nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within”.   

If Randy Bangert, Sherrie Peif and Bart Smith of the Tribune were reporting on MacArthur, they would call this a, “rant” and,  -  “afterwards he (MacArthur) left in a huff”.   

I report from first hand observations that those insidious forces have taken firm hold of the American education system and our media.  Since the sixties, when God was unconstitutionally kicked out of schools, violence, drugs and teen pregnancies dramatically increased. Testing and tests were and are progressively softened.  Today, we have generations of these “insidious forces” that have already locked down nearly all government and media as well. 

I have explained over a dozen exciting solutions to this school board which have never even made it to the board meetings.  I have attempted to introduce what I have seen work repeatedly in business and at other school systems.  My brother is on a school board.  There are schools in the Colorado Mountains that have actually given money back as a surplus this year!  There are new ideas that are working!  But as any employee or former employee well knows, this administration/board are experts at the "old runaround".  And I mean experts.  

Let’s truly be progressive and start discussing new ideas; it's what will turn us around!  Instead, this board holds meetings that either attack me and add even more board policies (total waste of time) or congratulate itself endlessly. It is because of these two reasons that 90% of my absences have occurred.  Until this board concentrates on education, I will happily continue to leave meetings early!!  It's not a "huff", it's a statement, Mr. Bangbert!

So today, when a rare and very lonesome soul stands against the firestorm, not only is she/he vastly outnumbered on the playing field, but the media run the scoreboard, “reporting” to the public and disfiguring him forever.   But today, our local Lib Trib is not only libeling me (yes I am suing) but has sent reporter Nate Miller to leaders in our community and is pushing hard to get them to “throw me under the bus” and agree that I am not fit for office, based on the stories they have been printing.  All to set up a recall election.

The politics of personal destruction are dreadful enough when they are entered into by one’s political opponents.  But when a local newspaper turns their reporters into opps research lackeys, it’s no longer possible to sort truth from agenda.  Though it is becoming more obvious with every unfounded attack.

I am holding to my campaign promises of conservative values and fiscal principles.  For years, this district has been sinking in waste and unwise curriculum decisions because the administrators are totally incompetent, with degrees in some ambiguous education field, not in business or management or people. 

The Tribune finally destroyed Ed Clark, who had no other media to respond with and because of the torment his wife and family were under, faded from the scene.  Mike Peters stated that “Reese will go the same route as Clark”. Gods unto themselves.  However, the Lib Trib risks great danger of losing another rare sliver of credibility. And I’m a fighter. I will not go away unless we improve our schools through dramatic means, or I make my goals and objectives clearly known, but still my constituents are swayed to abandon me.

The Greeley Tribune has misreported or deliberately lied (libel) in their reports…

          “Reese left in a huff from the board meeting”     LIE

           “Reese shook his finger, red faced, at Tribune reporter Peif” LIE

          “Police officer then asked Reese to leave”           LIE

Reporter Sherrie Peif later explained to me that if I had given her a comment, she wouldn’t have printed these “things”.  I asked her if a “no” comment gave her license to lie.  She only replied, “let’s move on, and you will comment to me from now on”.

The Tribune is using every strategy they know to paint me as a hot-headed, ranting "cowboy" that needs to be recalled.  To those who know me and know the truth, I am working hard to bring new ideas which are the only chance this district has for success.

Choose who you will believe, because somebody is lying.

What happened to the part of the story where Brett, "did mention The Greeley Gazette coming after her “smear campaign” and making an attempt at the truth?"

The fact that there is a criminal statue for libel doesn't mean that a civil claim for libel is precluded. Also, good luck finding any record of a conviction (or prosecution, for that matter) for that crime in Colorado in decades. You don't know what you're talking about.

also says Criminal Libel is a class 6 felony

If the Lib Trib is or has done anything libelous then it is not a civil matter but a serious "Criminal matter" a felony in fact. Check it out in the C.R.S. and it was not done in satire like the infamous "howling pig" fiasco.

BTW, I'll believe Sherri any day of the week before I believe anything the false Christian says. She may work for the Trib, but is a lot more reliable in her actions. Hey, Brett: did you ever pay for the heater at your house?

Reese is putting his money into litigation as an "all or nothing" bet at this point. Of course, this is also the same jack-hole who tried to claim a valid restraining order matter was a waste of court resources...then started preparations to file an appeal.

As for "Hope", the Board treats Brett the same way he treat's them. Turnabout is fair play after all.

The Gazette received over 20,000 unique readers last week. I think that's a success.
I am litigating. I am convinced I can prove not only malice, but damages. I do understand the very high standards required to prove libel, especially for elected officials. I hope you'll have an open mind uncontrolled by emotions and hatred.

When will the complaint be filed, Brett? Who is your lawyer? What are your damages? Do you really believe you can prove actual malice? There is no legitimate lawyer who would take your case on a contingent fee. Will you be paying by the hour? I sure hope so.
