There's a new town being proposed near Boise, Idaho. Eventually, it would cover 50 square miles of Idaho space, and it would compete with local businesses in every way imaginable. It is touted as self-sustaining and a possible source of revenue for the state of Idaho. So why isn't this good news? The town would be built and operated by the corporate arm of Communist China.
Actually, the Idaho town is being proposed by a corporation called Sinomach, which is an abbreviated version of China National Machinery Industry Corporation. However, Sinomach was approved by the Chinese Communist State Council and is Chinese government-owned. It is run under the supervision of the "State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission." Where would this city's allegiance lie? How would it be administered? Would it fall under Federal and State constitutional authority, or would it be a "global community," under Chinese jurisdiction?
This is yet another slippery slope, designed to circumvent U.S. sovereignty, and it's being fueled by greedy state bureaucrats. When governments refuse to rein in spending, and want to feed programs rather than slash budgets, it opens the door for enemies of America to step into the void and give them money. China has the money to spend, and more than enough workers to send and build entire communities on U.S. soil. Will it come to a community near you? Stay tuned.
