The Republican Party still doesn't get it. After losing to a loser like Obama in '08, this year's slate of emerging Presidential candidates for the 2012 race are more revolting than appetizing. This week the creator of Obamacare-lite, Mitt Romney threw his hat into the ring. Others that are already in play include Herman Cain, who once worked for the Federal Reserve, Newt Gingrich, former betrayer of conservatives everywhere, and Rudy Guliani, who is about as conservative as the new pseudo-Republican from Massachusetts. You have got to be kidding me! It would be like running Mark Udall under the Republican banner and calling him a conservative. It ain't gonna happen.
While it is true that Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann may be getting into the race, there are questions about their ability to attract and retain voters. This leaves Ron Paul. Quite frankly, he might be the most viable candidate, and also the least "Republican" of the bunch. Based on many conversations, Greeley Report knows that the conservatives in the region haven't been galvanized by any one leader at this point. However, there is a great sense of dislike for Obama. That may be the greatest catalyst for hope and change in 2012.

Paul/Kelly,
I did not write the article. I have seen no proof that Sam Hill is Brett Reese.
Kelly, if you could see what I smooch you would be jealous. Very intelligent commentary though!

Whining about name-calling when the post is "RINO's (punctuation error) and Idiots"--hahahahahahaha. Dennis, you're a beauty!!

Dennis: you smooch the behind of the Queen of all name-callers, Reese. Funny you cry foul now.

Tyrant Fighter,
I agree with you that the federal reserve is an evil entity, and must be disposed of, hopefully by going back to the gold standard. I know that we both agree that obama MUST go - #1 priority. I do like Gary Johnson, and most of what Ron Paul is about, but the real acid-test is can either of them beat obama. Would they split the conservative vote? My real choice, Paul Ryan/Rick Santorum ticket, is not going to throw his hat into the ring.
Kelly,
I adamantly disagree with you about the drugs (I've done too many and know that culture all too well). May God forgive the sins of my youth!
Another thing: You don't really need the name calling. If your point is valid, then let it rest.

No candidate acceptable to "Sam" is remotely electable. Supporting them in the name of political purity will help reelect Obama. Your emoting will not affect the truth of my assertion. Carry on, fools. And send Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann your money. It serves their egos and nothing else. Gary Johnson is for the legalization of drugs, so he's not all bad. But he can't win either.

Dennis Herman Cain was chairman of the KC Federal Reserve and that exclusive membership is a disaster to We the People. We don't need the central banks leading the country, and further eroding all our freedoms. This is the greatest attempt to get one of their guys in at the top, DANGER signals should be going off in everyones minds. We the true Republicans will not accept social conservatives, or central planners. We pretty much have 2 real candidates Ron Paul and Gary Johnson as far as I can see it. Paul resinates with the college crowd and will be able to pull the young vote. There is pretty much no other real choices and the other social conservatives like Bachman and Palin are way too wishy washy for my tastes also.

Rogers,
You are correct Obama will get more years. Unfortunately, after 8 years, the first black president will have turned us all into slaves, even black people.
Everyone except bureaucrats and the chosen ones will be impoverished.

Dennis,
At the end of the day, Blacks are Democrats and the vote will not split.

Rogers,
You actually want 4 more years of what we've had over the last 2-1/2 years, (4.5 years counting the democrat controlled congress)?
Your thinking is flawed. Who is going to pay for all of the entitlements the democrats want to keep when 47% of our population pays no taxes. When that % reaches 51, then socialism will be here. I can't believe that you can't see that!

Herman Cain doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting the nomination. You know it, as does everyone else.
Obama will get four more years in a landslide and you and your ilk will get four more years of playing Chicken Little.
I can't wait for the rethuglican nominating process...it should and will be hilarious.

I do like Herman Cain. Can you imagine if the black vote were split? 96% of black voters voted for obama. Do you think race wasn't a factor? Do you think that if obama were white that he would be president? I'm happy for the black people that they were finally represented in the White House, but I hardly think that race is a qualification. We are witnessing the results of that now. We would at long last get past the race issue, and be able to focus on the issues. Primarily the role of the federal government.
He was the chairman of the Kansas City federal reserve, but I don't know if that makes him a bad leader. The federal reserve is a cancer, and wholly un-American, but that is not the only thing on his resume. He is quite the business man.
We must get rid of the federal reserve, but we must first get rid of the obama administration. If he gets another term , there will be no America.
Did you think they would defeat us with guns?
