The heat is mounting, and this could clearly be an impeachable offense. Under authorization from the Obama administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents secretly sold semi-automatic weapons (including .50 caliber rifles, AK-47's and others) to known drug lords in Mexico. According to one memo released under the freedom of information act, the administration wanted to link U.S. gun sales to crime in Mexico, so that firearm sales could be drastically curtailed and/or controlled within our national borders. Transcripts of testimony released from last week's hearings on the Obama administration's Operation Fast And Furious reveal several startling facts.
- The U.S. government sold enough illegal firearms to Mexican drug lords, to equip an entire Marine battalion. At least 1,700 weapons are still missing.
- Many of those that received weapons in Mexico could also be paid informants for the U.S. government.
- More than 40,000 deaths have occurred in Mexico during the past 3 years due to drug violence. The U.S. could be complicit in several of these crimes.
- At least one ATF agent was killed by a known gang member, using a U.S. firearm.
- The approvals for this gunrunning scandal went clear up the chain of command, and into the White House.
- The Department of Justice was also involved, and knew details behind the scenes. The second, third and fourth in command all knew, but U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder claims to have no knowledge of the operation.
- A second gunrunning operation was also used to funnel U.S. firearms into other Central American countries. This scandal also has similar results to the Mexico operation, with U.S. firearms being used to commit crimes throughout that region.
- Resistance within the ATF was quashed, and those that spoke out were disciplined or fired.
- Washington, D.C. did not even inform ambassadors or embassies in Central America of this operation.
- Those subpeonaed to testify have been threatened and intimidated, resulting in a reluctance to testify.
Obama hates American citizens owning firearms. He hates the second amendment. This is clearly one of the greatest scandals to ever rock a U.S. presidency, and the Obama administration is involved at the highest levels. Be sure to thank those Congress men and women that are pressing for hearings and full disclosure. Thank groups such as the National Association for Gun Rights and Rocky Mountain Gun Owners for their pressure to reveal the truth. And stay tuned. More information will be forthcoming on this scandal. It could bring Obama down; it's bigger than Watergate in the 1970's.

Dennis,
It is apparent that you are quite knowledgeable on the subject of illicit drugs. Thank you for providing us with the perspective of one who has "been there."
As a former drug user, you speak intelligently and authoritatively. You are fortunate to have found the strength to beat your addictions and come out a whole person on the other side. For that, I commend you.
Unfortunately, some people who are still caught up in their addictions may find your perspective threatening. They are in "denial" and will likely strike out at anyone or anything who has the audacity to threaten their defense mechanism. So beware the onslaught of criticism that is bound to come your way!

Shirley / Bobby J,
A collectivist?
You are not talking to a lifelong tee-totaler. Drug use is a culture. I've been there. I know. I am ashamed to admit to you that there is a long list of illicit drugs that I have abused, for a long period of time (now go ahead and mock me by claiming that that is what's wrong with me (it may very well be)). It all started with marijuana.
Did you know that marijuana restricts peripheral vision? Would that impair your ability to drive?
Maybe you should stop smoking pot for a couple of weeks and see how clear your mind becomes.
Now I know that you will refute any sources I bring to bear, but please review this website:
http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.html
Now tell me why I would want to work next to an individual, particularly where safety is concerned (mine), whose mind is not clear. Again, I have experienced the effects personally for many years. I know the difference. If you can stop smoking for long enough maybe then you can tell me the difference. I am sure that you will deny what I say because you cannot stop, but I challenge you all the same.
This is the problem with our country; too many people's minds are in a drug-induced fog.

Shirley,
We finaly agree. Legalize Cannabis in all 50 States. No heavy tax or import/export rules.
Most Meth users will gravitate to this. And no it is not a gateway drug. That is like saying that a simple drive around town in a Toyota Corolla will always lead you to Top Fuel drag racing. Most people are more than satisfied with Cannabis and Cannabis alone. Sure a few nuts can never get enough of anything but they have bigger propblems such as lack of moderation and utopia seeking.

Legalize marijuana at least. See what happens before another step. The fact that something is harmful to the user is not a valid reason for outlawing it. Otherwise, kiss your Cheetos and Frosted Flakes goodbye.

Dennis,
I never said alchohol had a detrimental effect on society. What is soceity by the way? Although alchohol casues problems, it solves many.
Dennis I hate to break it to you, you could invent a machine that obliterated Alchohol, LSD, Cannabis, Meth, Heroine, Cocaine, and every other substance you do not approve of and humanity will remain incredibly sick.
The 7 deadly sins are not dependent upon drugs.
Stop searching for utopia, you create more problems than you solve.

Dennis,
You sound like every other collectivist I know, whether it be a greeny, educrat welfare lover or war monger.
Read this book and get back to me.

Bobby J / Shirley,
I certainly agree that alcohol has had a very detrimental effect on our society, but is that a valid argument for the legalization of illicit drugs? Let's have more social ill?
Do you have any idea of the cost to us (government) of this drug abuse? I know people in the Department of Human Services that will tell you that a vast majority of DHS time and resources are spent on the destruction of families wrought by illicit drug use.
You argue that we should be free to choose this?
I would agree with you if the parties involved were capable of accounting for themselves, but long term use leaves most debilitated.
Have you seen the results of this on children? Do either of you have any children?
Where do you stand on meth? Have you seen the results of meth use? Where do you draw the line?
Your views are over-simplified.

Dennis,
All in all, not may Americans “thirst” for illicit drugs. The few that do should be able to obtain and consume them in an affordable peaceful manner, similar to those that “thirst’ for big pharma drugs.
Now let us talk about this Obama gun running. Probably a deal between Obama and CIA to pad their pockets. If this were Republicans, Liberal media would be all over this story.

Legalization of drugs neuters the cartels. We had similar problems when alcohol was prohibited. Neither our government (with unlimited weaponry) nor the Illuminati (because if you're fictional, be tough--right?) fears a citizenry with pistols. But keep that paranoia going, Denny. It's very entertaining.

I promise you, this is big. It even goes higher than obama. The only reason this got out is because the "string-pullers" have no idea how to contain information from getting to the internet. That's why they want to control it.
We are only discovering the "tip of the iceberg" here.
This has everything to do with completely eliminating our 2nd Amendment (violence spilling over into US, from Mexico - state of emergency-marshal law type stuff). It also serves the purpose of gaining power and control of Central America. This is the Iran-Contra scandal on steroids.
obama is complicit, but if you were to dig to the bottom of this you will find who is really in control.
Think I'm kidding? I know people in Mexico who know.
Shirley/Bobby J,
Our country's insatiable thirst for illicit drugs has been the catalyst for what you will see unfold in the coming weeks/months. That is if those involved in uncovering it are not executed.
Watch.
