Republican Cory Gardner had an opportunity to be a leader. He failed. Today he came out in support of raising the debt ceiling along with fellow RINO Scott Tipton from the Western Slope. Boehner knew who he could pressure, to get his measure put through the House of Representatives, and who would stand for no new debt. Gardner was one of his patsies.
If the debt ceiling were not moved it would change government as we know it today, and that is a good thing! Government would be forced to live within its means. The Federal Reserve, a private bank, would be forced to spend its $1 trillion in assets to keep things afloat, instead of you the tax payer. And debates would shift on the House floor to prioritizing things, rather than just spend, spend, spend.
But Gardner agrees with Pelosi. He wants life to be grand, and debt to continue. It's disgusting really, after all the help he received from the Tea Parties and 9.12 groups. He probably won't get an opportunity for a second term, but the MoveOn protestors that were at his Larimer doorstep this week would be proud of him...just like they were for his predecesser, demoncrat Betsey Markey.

Shirley,
I know I miss a lot of the small stuff. You know, the little things you tend to focus on. Thank you all the same.

Benefactors are the opposite of beneficiaries. Maybe you should have been more honest with your tax returns. You're position is emotion-only. Use your brain.

Greeley,
I will never receive social security benefits. I've been working and paying into FICA for 35 years, including as an employer for 14 years (employers match all FICA taxes paid by their employees), but I'm right at that age where the benefit age will continuously be moved beyond my reach. I'm sure that I will die trying. So when I hear benefactors complaining about entitlements I think, what's going to be like when there are no entitlements? That day is coming.
I understand that you will be short-changed and lied to, and for that I am sorry. A new America will emerge, but not without strife.

Shirley,
I appreciate what you are saying, but that ship has sailed. We've been playing that game for far too long. Look where we are! The problem has been trusting politicians. They can call themselves an R, or a D, but in reality they are all the same. They lie for a living. I wouldn't trust a single one of them to wash my socks.
Concerning liberals:
In spite of the situation our country is in, as a direct result of liberal ideology since 1913, they can, with a straight face, continue to lie to our citizens, buy votes with policy, and effect international policy to castrate our power. They are not people with a differing opinion than mine, nor are they of a simple difference in ideology. They are my enemy. republicans are only one notch up from that.
It is not difficult to explain. Really. Democrats have been making a practice of buying votes for decades. THeir investment is about to pay off.

As we watch our country melt before our eyes, are you prepared? I am. I'm ready for the the REAL conservatives to make a stand. You cannot negotiate with evil, and the sickness of liberalism is evil. Our government is CLEARLY too big. MUCH TOO BIG! It's time to stop this spending, regulating, government business dead in its tracks. It's time to bite the bullet.
The shit-bag liberals have done absolutely nothing but purposely destroy this country, and we the voters have let them. 47% of our country pay no taxes, yet obama wants the rich TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE? How do you think that 47% of our country is going to vote? Add the black population? Combine that with the mass media portraying this debt problem as a "Tea Party" issue and you've turned full control of this country over to the socilaists that sit in office now.
I'm ready.

I hear that they might hold our social security checks hostage. They may not be mailed this next month.........Say, what do we do when the mortgage is due and no food in the cupboard? Guess that is not their problem...Ya think

Republicans only control 1/2 of Congress. The President is a Dem. The Senate is controlled by Dems. I want someone to move the ball in a conservative direction. You want people who sit on their soapbox and yell. Which does better for their constituents? Which makes you feel vindicated in your anger and contempt? I'll take objective conservative progress, you'll emote. http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/273017/debt-ceiling-divide-charles-krauthammer
