Several front-running Presidential candidates are showing their stripes early as the Iowa presidential debates and straw poll gets underway this week. Do you know your Republican candidates? Of course not! You have heard about the ones the mainstream media wants you to know, but do you know the rest? Survey results and stated positions are flying around. Here is a summary of several of the major conservative (and RINO) candidates and their views, but be sure to click the link at the end of this article. There is a great number of candidates flying under the radar, and some of them are worth knowing. One is an avowed gay activist, another is a strong constitutionalist, and one is a blunt, in-your-face campaigner from Montana. The news media won't tell you about them, but you have a right to know. With that said, let's look at some of the front-runners and their views.
- Ron Paul. Paul has continued to be the bulldog concerning spending and auditing the Federal Reserve. He is solidly pro-2nd amendment (he was one of two excellent candidates according to a recent NAGR survey), and he is staunchly pro-USA. Paul has a track record of meaning what he says, and sticking with his issues, no matter what people think.
- Michele Bachmann. Bachmann is a rising star in political circles and, like Paul, is cordially despised by the media and the left. Bachmann is the other candidate to score well on the NAGR 2nd amendment survey, and has also displayed true conservative views in her votes and her values. Bachmann supported the Patriot Act early on, and Greeley Report does not know her recent views on this draconian piece of right-suppressing legislation. Both Bachmann and Paul are solidly anti-ATF, anti-UN Small Arms Treaty, and pro-individual rights.
- Mitt Romney. Romney is as anti-gun as Obama! The media loves him, but he is as liberal as you can get and still be a Republican. A true RINO, Romney likes socialist government, medicine, and taxes, and hates guns. Greeley Report finds Romney to be an enemy of freedom, not a friend. He might as well come out of the closet as a Democrat.
- Herman Cain. Cain was touted as a true conservative, and a minority alternative to Obama. Cain's life is a rags-to-riches story, but something doesn't smell right. Cain was Chairman and a former member of the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Federal Reserve. He says there is no need to audit the Fed whatsoever. Cain also started out strong in his proclamations about Islam as an enemy of America, but has sinced turned warm and fuzzy in his stance. From what Greeley Report understands Cain did not turn in the NAGR survey with his views on the 2nd amendment. He's no Romney, but he's no contender either. Make sure he loses.
Based on media attention these may be all the candidates you know. There are more. Click here to become better informed as a conservative and as a voter. Who would you choose as the Republican nominee to replace the imposter-in-chief?

Don't help Dennis folks. He needs to answer those questions himself. Otherwise, he gets no credit on the test, and he needs some points in the grade book.

anybody?

I take pot shots at you, Dennis, because you so often express arrogant positions despite your consistent disregard for facts and logic. And, you almost never directly respond to my questions about your positions. So, it's good sport for me to point out where you've gone astray. I enjoy it. I've expressed my positions on political candidates (support the most electable conservative--don't take your ball and go home when the ideal candidate is unelectable; legalize marijuana since outlawing it does nothing to suppress its consumption but instead empowers criminals and wastes our money; the relationship between gays does nothing to affect the rest of us, and the political efforts to restrict the freedom of gays are beneath the integrity of people who truly believe in limited government and personal freedom; President Obama was born in Hawaii--the newspaper birth announcement is actually the best evidence of this; finally, there is no evidence that 12 Jews in Switzerland are controlling your life. Finally, believing that the earth was formed fewer than 10,000 years ago is a position held only be the most fringe elements of Christianity). How's that?

Shirley,
I at least forward opinion, topic, theory and relevance.
You risk nothing, kinda like a liberal. All you do is sit back and take pot-shots at others (namely me). You; therefore, have no credibility.
If I am wrong, somebody please come to Shirley's defense.

Yes. With adults who express opinions on the basis of knowledge.

Shirley,
Pointedly, my concern is that Paul is not concerned about Iran obtaining nukes. I'm sure that he may have iterated that before, but it's the first time I heard it. You see Shirley, it's a process. This is why they have the debates. This is why I listen to the debates. I'm sorry that I did not know this before now. I should just shut up and know my place. Below Shirley.
I ask again, have you ever had an adult conversation?

And how in the world could you not have known Ron Paul's views on foreign policy before?
Posted by: Shirley | August 14, 2011 at 09:16 PM
Yes, Dennis. Ron Paul doesn't take any delight in killing Muslims. I see how you would view that as a flaw.

After the Iowa debate. I am concerned about Paul's foreign policy.

There's nothing to say that Ron Paul won't live to be 100. I am getting closer and closer to his views.
Perry is interesting.

Hey, what about the Gov. of Texas? He sounds good to me?

Ron is getting old although I wish we could get him in the body of healthy 35 year old.
