Last night Republicrats from both sides of the aisle met with Obama and put together a deal that would raise the debt ceiling on our children once again. They are promising no new taxes and significant cuts over 10 years, but what does that look like?
- First, if the deal is structured like the one earlier this week, the cuts will not occur much in the first few years. Everybody is trying to protect their 2012 reelection campaigns. The deal last week only cut $7 million in 2012. Only $7 million!
- Second, any subsequent congress can alter this plan as they come into office. So this deal really isn't a solvent solution. It's a "fix." The politicians on both sides aren't fixing the problem. They are making it look good for your perceptions.
There are some that are standing up against this deal. Senators from Florida, Utah, and others like Michele Bachmann have already said they will vote no. Local representative Republican Cory Gardner will probably vote yes. The debt piles on. Somebody will have to pay it. Today you will hear from the mainstream socialists what a wonderful deal this is. It's not. It's a fix, and we are the losers. Now, how will the votes go?

Bobby J,
I am not suggesting that ANYBODY pay any more taxes.
BTW:God is welcome. Government - no.
To answer Tyrant Fighter's question: The loss of our freedoms through the patriot act was an inevitable consequence of 9-11. Think of it s an unspoken "state of emergency", as we are at war with radical-islam. I don't like the patriot act, but I do appreciate that we have not been attacked since 9-11. Personally, I have nothing to hide, in fact, if they were to spy on me - this bog-site would be the most risque activity in my life, presently. Our greater problem is that we don't prosecute our wars effectively. We should have been done in Iraq and Afghanistan within 18 months, leaving nothing but melted glass.
Anybody ever wonder why it's been since WWII that we've won a war? If we prosecuted war effectively, then we would have less/fewer wars. Presently the USA is neither feared, nor respected. If we had responded in kind, then the war on terror would be over. Then we could drop the patriot act.

Tyrant,
There are no sides. This is about you and your personal relationship with Jesus.

Bobby, sure God has seen every move I have ever made my entire life, and I will answer for every transgression ever done when my book of life is read before me and through only through Him, am I then to proceed. Are saying that the government has the right to look at every aspect of my life ? Then I feel you are wrong, as they are not God and they too will have to answer for their sins. If you look up to this government as any type of God, then you will surely be damned! I for one am responsible for my own sins, as each individual is their own sins, and sin has no hiarchy , and there is no numbered system. Unless of course you are a Hebrew or Muslum, but those who truely believe in Christ Jesus don't hold any sin higher then any other. The Patriot Act is the work of Satan and we are to fight against the evil that is not God's will and of this world. Which side are you on?

Tyrant,
If the Patriot Act granted gov to spy on your every move, dont you think God has been watching every single thing you do and think since the moment you were born?

Dennis,
The wealthy make all the money, of course they pay all the taxes.
The bigger question is as follows, does tax code and regulation cause more weath to flow to less people?
Poor people can not pay more taxes even if they wanted to.

The "wealthier" half of Americans pay 97.5% of the federal income taxes. obama says the wealthy should pay their "fair share". What's fair?

Michelle Bachman the social conservative and hijacker of the TEA party movement, seems to have a profound influence on Cory Gardner. The man actually had seeked out her advise on "the Patriot Act" as told to me personally. Our representative obviously doesn't pray for guidence , and if he does it must not be to our Our Father, or in His son Christ's name? We have been sold out again?
