He's too old. He's too stodgy. He doesn't believe in (insert particular issue here), or leaves too much to the states. There is no way he could be a good candidate. While all of these statements have been made about one Republican Presidential candidate, and all attention has been focused on the holy trinity of the race (e.g., Herman Cain, Rick Perry, and Mitt Romney), candidate Ron Paul has been quietly racking up victories in Republican straw polls in various regions of the United States.
According to the blog Hillbuzz, Paul recently won his fifteenth straw poll. Fifteen! Either there is collusion in the liberal media to focus on their darlings and purposely avoid other candidates, or there is a complete lack of journalistic education about how to research a story! When one candidate continues to amass victories over the others that are not reported, perhaps the nation should sit up and take notice.
Whatever your feelings about Ron Paul may be, he deserves a place at the table. His viewpoints should serve at the very least to force conversation on issues that he has solidly maintained regarding the Federal Reserve, Federal bureaucracy, and states rights and regulation. Can he win? We don't know yet. But so far, he can't lose.

GodBlessAmerica,
You are a very smart person. Thank you for telling the truth. We need more of that!

BobbyJ, you are entitled to support whomever you like for the next presidential election, as am I. I happen to believe Ron Paul is misguided regarding foreign policy, and your answer bolsters my point. We cannot collectively bury our heads in the sand and allow Israel and Iran to "sort out their own problems." Iran has boasted many times of their desire to wipe Israel off the map as well as to destroy the "Great Satan" America. Iran having nuclear capability should be cause for alarm for the entire world.
Israel has been our ally since the beginning. They are committed to democracy and enhancement of human life. They've tried every concession imaginable to appease their muslim neighbors through the years, but it's clear that Israel's complete and utter destruction is what the muslims are after. Don't think it will end there, though, because if they succeeded in annihilating the Jews, the Christians and America would be next in line. After that, world domination.
As far as US Presidents being "kings," obviously this was not the intent of our founding fathers. The current usurper occupying the White House, I believe, will do his best to override the Constitution to remain in office despite the will of the people. He is not constitutionally eligible to serve as POTUS yet is aided and abetted by powerful behind-the-scenes factions and by the liberal media. They are all guilty of treason and sedition...and so are the congresspeople who allow this travesty to continue unobstructed!
The US was founded on godly principles and has historically supported God's chosen people; we have been wonderfully blessed because of it. Unfortunately, I believe that America's decline and eventual fall will be as a direct result of a loss of our moral compass and failure to support Israel.
I pray for my country, for Israel and the world. These are scary times.

Powerball,
I couldn't agree more. Once again you have found the "sweet-spot".
Bobby J,
...and let's hope it stays that way (Israel nukes). If Iran had nukes one year ago, they would have used them by now. Making that comparison is about as corrupt, or naive, as the left. Do you assume that Iran has the inherent good in them that Israel does? To put those two countries on equal moral footing, giving you the benefit of the doubt, is pure ignorance.
shame

Just watched this video on Netflix. It is about the lobby system.
The movie does ask a godd question. Wy would an elected Representtavie represent the peopel for 154,000 per year when he can make 1M a year representing other interest.
The Website does not give the video away for free, hopefully you have netflix or other source.

Precisely!
You are out of bounds.
Or should I say:
Too bad Shirley is not perfect like the rest of y'all. Must be frustrating to it.
. . . Since I don't know you, not a bad idea.
Gum balls anyone?

Hilarious because I don't know you. Sad if I did.

Watch the Military channel, Comcast 274, Monday 11/21/11, 7-8am.
"The Fatal Attraction of Hitler"
In it you will see and can compare Obamanation. Hitler was able to come to power via his messianic message to the people and the youth of Germany to relieve economic pressure from WWI. Inspite of Germany's poor economy Hitler spent huge amounts of money on public works putting many Germans back to work. Little did the German people know of Hitlers intentions for war or his impaired mental pathology.
Notice how the left flares when Hitler is mentioned. It's like hitting a nerve directly.
Obamanation is an exact copy of Hitler. Obamanation hides his origins, just like Hitler, comes to power under the same circumstances, and uses the office to inflame relationships and pit, not unite, the American people.
Oh yes, history repeats itself. The American people should be very very wary of the left and Obamanation!

Shirley,
HOW could everyone agree when everyone is different, has different experiences, and thus sees things differently.
Your statement shows your limited capacity to understand how democracy works muchless the makings of man.
Perhaps you should reread the posts to see nobody here wants a king, a dictator, an emperor, or an Obamanation god.
To say we are frustrated with choices, also says you are comfortable without choice.
So go sit on the sideline and the rest of us will make the decisions for you!
Having said what you did, you can't have a problem with that!

Too bad no candidate is as perfect of all of y'all. Must be frustrating.

GBAmerica,
BTW Cain was President of the National Restaurant Association and he was Chairman of the St Louis Fed Reserve. To call Cain
apolitical is not accurate. He knows the game. His favoritism to Fed reserve policy will kill freedom. Ron Paul is ANTI ANTI ANTI Fed.
If outsider, anti-status quo is what you want, then RP is your guy. There is no man in recorded history, except for Jesus, that has bucked the system more than RP, period.

God Bless America,
Ron Paul would NOT buddy up to Iran.
He would allow the 2 neighbors to sort out their own problems.
However in a Ron Paul world, ONLY congress can delcare war so it really would NOT be up to Ron Paul. You just dont get it, Ron Paul dosnt want to be king. He would force congress to start acting like a congress.
The mentallity today of the US President being the King is a very distrurbing trend. The entire puropse of our original Constitution was to limit the Presidents power and abolish Kindoms.
BTW Israel has nukes, Iran does not.

Cain for VP!
In the debate between Cain and Gingrich, Cain deferred to Gingrich several times.
He doesn't have the insight Newt does, but that debate was just great!
It was an oasis of political conversation in a sea of insanity from Obamanation and the left!
These two should be on the Republican ticket.
Together, they will win!!
Posted by: Powerball | November 07, 2011 at 11:35 PM
I know, I despise this evil, anti-American administration just as much as the next person, but Ron Paul is not the answer! Paul would leave Israel out in the cold and buddy up to Iran...how is that any better than old jug-ears?
Cain has my vote. He may not be perfect, but at least he's not a career politician.

It's being reported from the G20 meeting:
Microphones accidently left on after G20 meeting pick up private conversation between US, French presidents. Sarkozy admits he 'can't stand' Israeli premier. Obama: You're fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day!
Obamanation would love to see Iran attack Israel.
Why?
Because Obamanation hates America.
Get this snake out of the White House and send him home to Africa!
Posted by: Powerball | November 07, 2011 at 10:52 PM
Cuppa Joe,
I can't recall anything, nothing, that Newt did that is as treasonist as Obamanation.
NOTHING!
It defys logic.
But I tell you this. Newt is the only one that can debat Obamanation, wipe the floor with him, and show the world the babbling idiot that sits in the White House today.
THAT DEBAT WON'T BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND!
Anyone voting for the idiot and chief after that shouldn't be voting in the first place.
Posted by: Powerball | November 07, 2011 at 10:37 PM
Newt already betrayed his wives, and his nation. Remember the contract with America? He sold conservatives down the river. He is a RINO, a liar, and deserves zero trust. Zero! I would just as soon have Obama as Gingrich.
Posted by: CuppaJoe | November 07, 2011 at 07:13 PM
If voting changed anything, it would be illegal.
OF course Ron Paul is cut out, they can't make voting illegal.
As long as we are a nation of sheep, we will be governed by wolves.
Posted by: BobbyJ. | November 07, 2011 at 07:13 PM
greeleygirl,
I know, huh? The scary thing is that there are a lot of people(?) out there that would vote for this scumbag.
Powerball,
I wouldn't discount Cain. I do agree with you on many points, concerning Newt, but like Cain (sex harassment), Newt has many skeletons. If one could look past those bones, then Newt is your guy.
I do agree with many of Ron Paul's ideas, but I also believe that he is way ahead of his time, or way behind. He would benefit tremendously if he would outline a transitional plan on how he would accomplish his goals. If he did that, then he would probably get the nomination.
Posted by: Dennis | November 07, 2011 at 06:17 PM
Maybe people will begin listening to Paul. He does have the right ideas, but they should have been implemented years ago. In other words, the nation has some back-stepping to do like eliminate the Federal Reserve, income taxes, and audit the Fed. But in today's economy, to simply do many of the things Paul says overnight, even though he's exactly right, would be a shock to the system.
Newt Gingrich is the man to quarterback our team and turn this game around.
One. Just one debate between him and Obamanation and Newt will knock that sucker out of the ring!!
Not Romney, not Perry, not Paul, not Cain can cut the tongue of the Obamanation snake like Newt can!
I'm giving you a sure bet here and now.
If Newt isn't the Republican nomination Obamanation will get four more years and on election night conservatives can kiss America good-by!
Take it to the bank!

I am so disgusted with Obama I am ready to vote for anyone. This President has done more to ruin this Country than anyone in history, and I cannot believe that there are people? who still stand behind him...Are you all blind?
