Yard Signs

Yesterday was the day of the drive-by-voter.  Today is the day of the consequence.  The issues or people with the largest number of yard signs in it's favor all won, whether it was the demise of Proposition 103, the advancement of the Evans Fire District, or the selection of District 6 school board candidates.  The one with the most yard signs won, with one exception.  That was the victory of Scott Rankin over two Democratic opponents for the 2 year seat on the board.

So, what does all of this mean?  It seems to trend toward the fact that this area is casual about its politics, actually not caring very much.  When push comes to shove, they can vote Republican over Demoncrat, and as a general rule don't like state tax increases.  However, for the most part they just drive by, look at the sign, fill out the ballot, and mail it in.  One wonders if any outcome had been different if there were no mail-in ballots.  At least today the yard signs are all white, covered with snow.  Will the snow job continue? Probably.

However the real factor is not inflation, then bankruptcy. The real factor is simple. What point will the back of the producer be broken? At some point, too many people will stop trying to get ahead, when this happens, and not a moment before, will the system of slavery collaspe. Slavery auto-corrected itself at the end of the Ottoman empire when the Janissary corps, slave military forces, turned on and defeated the sultan taking the lands that he had entrusted to them. These slave soldiers were captured as children and put into service because they were from Christian families, not of Muslim decent. Islamic law did not allow Muslims to be put to the service of one sultan because they were and still are a tribal society with various leaders. The Janissary Corp solved that problem temporarily. .
It was the most extrem case of "My enemy is my best friend" that brought an end to the Ottoman empire.
History always repeats itself. It just seems to like having a slight twist that keeps mankind on it's toes.

I do agree with urgency of Shirley, if we don’t do something for ourselves, this socicapitalist hybrid will go on forever.

Personally I prefer the label commufasct. I invented this term, it did not come from academic or media so I doubt it will ever catch never the less true.

Socialism will be a step in the direction in which we are ultimately headed, lead by obama and his backers. We are clearly on a path to marxist-communism. The "occupiers" believe that socialism is what they want. What they don't understand is that the momentum of this "social revolution" will carry us, unchecked, into marxist-communism. Gulags included. Gulags will be where most of these miscreants will reside, once their usefulness has faded.

Dennis will never start any revolution. When he says stock pile amno,silver,food and water I always assumed amno was to defend against looters.Silver was for currency. Food and water was for consumption.

These are not bad things to have IF chit ever hits the fan.

I'm glad Scott Rankin won. I'm glad Proposition 103 failed. I'm also glad that the measure down in Denver to impose a mandatory 9 paid days off failed. You see there is more to this country than Greeley and Weld County, because as we watch our nation bend over for socialism we can see it happen in our surrounding communities and observe the results.

This election was very encouraging to me. I pray the the general presidential election goes my way as well. Socio-democrats need to know that they cannot "occupy" America. We need a landslide victory for President and all available seats in congress.
