2009 In Review

Ronald Reagan asked us if we were better off than we were four years ago, during his debate with Jimmy Carter.  Today, we don't need four years to wait for an evaluation.  Let's look back one year and ask the same question.

• One year ago globalist RINO's handed incoming president Barry Soetoro (Obama) a gift in the form of financial bailouts and nationalized banking practices.  At that point he controlled the military and the banking industry, and he had the entertainment industry and news media in his hip pocket.  Since then Obama has taken over the auto industry, and is poised to take over health care.  Socialism now trumps capitalism in the United States in less than one year.
  
• Gov. Ritter killed the oil and gas industry in Colorado.  He slam dunked 170+ pages of regulations on business here.  Greeley Report has documents of people leaving the area, foreclosed houses, and tax revenues plummeting locally from his move.  And the worst hasn't hit yet.  When you add this to Ritters unionizing moves, draconian fee increases, and increased headcount on the state payroll (despite a hiring freeze), you have the worst governor the state has seen in recent history.
• Ed Clark decided not to run again as Greeley mayor.  Two weak candidates entered the scene, and the evil of two lessers ended up winning.  Tom-Tom Norton is a tax and spend, regulate freedom-style RINO, who is in bed with his wife Kay; the head of UNC.  She endorses spending your money on illegals, and doing other ultra-globalist things.  Do you sleep better at night, knowing this?
• The attempted socialization of America has sparked a backlash.  Rallies against socialized healthcare sprang up this year.  Citizens packed townhall meetings and stunned politicians with their anger.  Ordinary people started to band together to stop the government takeover for freedom.Locally, the 9.12 group put out a flyer against a $16 million tax hike.  The flyer, combined with the grassroots efforts of people such as Amy Oliver and Brett Reese, a school board candidate, informed the public of the extortion attempt.  It went down in flames.  The repercussions are still being felt as the local elite try to get Northern Colorado back under their thumb.  Expect that battle to continue into 2010.

What will happen in 2010?  Part of the answer to that question will be determined by outside circumstances.  But part of the answer will be shaped by you.  Will you continue to stand up?  Will you say yes to freedom, and no to tyranny?  Will you take back your government, repeal laws and taxes, secure our borders, and vote the politicians out that did this?  If you do, it will change the face of America.  If you do not, America as we know it will become a socialist, globalist nation.  In 2010, the future is in your hands.

Better Things To Do?

Over the course of the past 3 months local photographer Jerry Long has endeavored to contact Representative Betsey Markey (D) and Senator Bennett (D) regarding illegal immigration issues.  He has been completely rebuffed or ignored.

In November Long provided a CD of a powerpoint presentation to Bennett's staffer, showing the existing laws that the Federal government was not enforcing.  Then in December he followed up with a question.  "Has the presentation been viewed by Senator Bennett?"  Her answer?  "No, he has not."  When questioned further, Bennett's staffer responded, "He has more important things to do, like work on health care in Washington, than to watch your powerpoint."

According to the U.S. Constitution providing for border security is one of the few things the Federal government is supposed to provide.  Health care isn't even on the list.  However, Bennett, Markey, Udall and others are completely ignoring their Constitutional duties, to do whatever they want.  Illegals take American jobs.  We pay for their schooling, and are well aware of their gang activities.  Last year Colorado spent $33 million to incarcerate convicted illegals in our prisons.  But Bennett has more important things to do?

Now dead dog Markey and the House of Representatives are proposing amnesty for the lawbreakers. They do not listen!  Go to their meetings.  Remember their crimes against our nation.  Understand that they want to tax you, steal your freedoms, and give the rights of citizens to illegal aliens.  And vote them out.  The efforts of local patriots such as Jerry Long will pay off at the ballot box.  Let's remind them of the fact that their "better things to do," begins and ends with upholding the U.S. Constitution for a change.

What About The Laws They Aren't Enforcing Now?

The Lib Trib published a cluster of articles dealing with illegal immigration over the weekend that were nothing but ludicrous.  They covered the "vigil" that bemonaned the immigration raids on the Swift plant.  They talked with liberal Democrat Betsey Markey about how all employers need to use a Federal tracking database.  And today they weighed in with an editorial that basically says all illegals in the country deserve amnesty unless they are criminals.  I'm sure they thought they were fair and balanced in their reporting.

Here is what they did not report.  They did not mention the so-called "coyotes" and human traffickers that rape women and destroy lives, leading people across the border.  They did not address the fear in the illegal community that is latent because they do not have legal status.  They did not discuss the fact that every illegal is a criminal because he or she has stolen and falsely used the identity of a U.S. citizen.  And they didn't ask Representative Markey why she and others are not immediately enforcing the current laws on the books.  They are the Federal leaders we elected, and have the power to do this.  Instead, they are merely talking, posturing, and endorsing these so-called bipartisan panels that are usually comprised of invited parties that are nothing more than liberals from both parties.  If the Trib were truly a journalistic enterprise they would have asked these questions.  Instead, they are merely hiding under the journalistic umbrella, hoping to shape your thoughts and beliefs.

Nobody is representing the conservative point of view in mainstream media.  Especially the Lib Trib!  Unemployment is high, and yet illegals are working jobs that citizens should have.  Identities are being stolen, and those who want to stop the crimes (e.g., Ken Buck and John Cooke) are muzzled and sued.  The border still leaks like a sieve.  But nobody challenges these issues.  Instead, candlelight vigils bemoaning lawbreakers are covered.

WAKE UP!  Call Markey and demand current laws are enforced by her votes, speeches and power.  Call the Trib and drop your subscription (their readers are steadily dropping anyway).  And call both the Republican and Democratic parties and tell them you will not support liberal, whiny candidates any more.  Turn up the heat.  The battle of ideas is being read by you.  You can tell these people where you stand and shape the course of government during the next 2-4 years.

Why Not Scott?

Why would the Tea Party activists protest against Republican Scott McInnis when Democrat Bill Ritter is such a poor governor?  There are several reasons.

• First, McInnis has the blessing of Republican party RINO's, which makes him suspect.  He may talk a good talk in conservative circles, but his voting record doesn't indicate he walks the walk.
• Second, he doesn't want to debate other Republicans in the primary.  He says that he wants to focus on Ritter and take the high road.  However, many conservatives see this as an avoidance tactic.  McInnis doesn't want to field the hard questions because he's a RINO.  He wants to coast in on his party endorsements.  He likes to grandstand and appear nice, when in reality it's a political move that keeps him from spending too much time or money answering the hard questions.
• Third, McInnis likes big money and big endorsements.  Former Governor Bill Owens has endorsed him.  So have other prominent Republicans.  Cash is flowing into his coffers from special interests.  However, conservatives think he's a Republican in John McCain's pattern.  And they don't want to have to swallow another democrat running under republican terms.  For example, Owens has come out in favor of legalizing illegal immigrants within the country.  He also endorses McInnis.  This caliber of endorsements makes conservatives, libertarians, and independents seethe.
• Fourth, Dick Wadhams likes him.  It's obvious in Republican circles who the favored son is within state party ranks.  That in itself is enough to make conservatives suspicious.

It's obvious that independents, libertarians and conservatives are very much in play in the next gubernatorial election.  Dan Maes remains Scott McInnis' only primary challenger on the Republican side.  If McInnis doesn't vigorously debate and work, he may well lose the conservative vote.  While Maes is not the favorite, he isn't the garbage candidate the establishment loves.  That in itself is enough to invigorate free-thinking people across the state.

Training For Nothing

Gov. Ritter is announcing a new jobs training push in the next few days for the state of Colorado.  It's too bad he has killed the local job market so that those who are already trained are out of work!  There were plenty of oil and gas jobs in this region before his liberal, human-hating friends in the environmental movement got him to kill them.  There were technology jobs in Northern Colorado that he ignored and wouldn't help with tax incentives or other ideas.

Then there was Vestas.  It was a pet project of Ritter's, but he forgot that when you kill one part of the economy (e.g., oil and gas), you also hinder other sectors of energy production.  While socialistic policies try to control and manipulate markets, they usually respond better to less regulation and taxation than anything the government can offer.  Today Vestas, the green company, isn't producing enough gold, so they are in the red.  And they are "retooling" for three months in hopes of getting into the black.

Ritter unionized the state jobs, and in a time of job and hiring freezes managed to hire more than 1,000 people in state government.  These people produce nothing.  They provide services, but actually produce no real product.  Furthermore, every dime of their wages and benefits come out of your wallet.  So Ritter's jobs focus has put a greater burden on the state.

In the meantime, Ritter is training people for nonexistent jobs.  And he's doing nothing about the illegal alien population that weighs down the construction, landscaping, and service sectors, taking jobs that could be offered to legal American citizens.  He's a farce, folks.  Let's dump him at the earliest possible minute, hopefully by putting a true conservative into office and not a McCain look-alike like Scott McInnis.

What's The Difference?

Greeley Report apologizes for the delay of today's post.  However, we have noted that the opening of ICE office in Colorado Springs has been duly reported by the Lib Trib.  They don't care whether people are legal or illegal; it's obvious in their bias.

Rush Limbaugh made an astute observation today, contrasting the couple who "crashed" Obama's dinner in Washington, D.C., with illegal immigration.  The entire secret service and executive branch of government is wrestling with how this could have happened.  But perhaps they weren't "crashers" after all.  They simply wanted a better meal, a better party, and a different circle of friends.  Doesn't that sound like what we are told about illegals?  They want a better life, a nicer place for their family to live, and a decent place to live.  So, they simply lie and ease their way past border security.  Then they live among us, and accept the benefits accorded citizens of this nation.  What's the difference?  Not much.  But when you share this with a liberal, they will rant about how Obama needs to be protected.  Well, doesn't your family need to be protected, too?  Shouldn't we all share the same security?  Shouldn't our borders be strong and our lives safe?  Absolutely!  Equality.  Now that's a fresh idea!

One Sided Forum

The League of Women Voters held a forum on illegal immigration Thursday night, and it was as one-sided as their political views.  Forum members consisted of three Hispanic, left-leaning members, who were all supporting the allowance of more illegals into the country with merely a slap on the wrist.  Not one of them wanted to enforce the current laws on the books.

Absent from the debate were panelists such as law enforcement personnel who deal with crimes illegals commit on a daily basis.  Also absent were victims of identity theft (because every illegal alien is a lawbreaker and a thief), whites and other races.  If this forum had been represented by whites only, it would been labeled as racist.  We have been told that the Immigration issues are not merely a Hispanic issue.  However, that was the only representation on the panel, which leads us to believe otherwise.  The bias in the room was clearly evident.

Forums and panels such as these are used by the league of wimpy vipers to attempt to sway public opinion.  Religious groups often weigh in with the "we are all God's children debate," and one of the frequent comments you will hear is the fact that our nation is comprised of immigrants.  While this is true, we are still a nation of laws.  We cannot let everyone who wants a better life to simply migrate here, nor can we continue to let our borders remain a sieve for crime, drugs and lawless people from many nations.  Those who migrate here must commit to obey laws, obtain proper paperwork (so that a U.S. citizen will not suffer through the illegal theft of his or her identity), and support and uphold the Constitution.  As for those who are already here, we should send them home.  Americans need the jobs, and we can rely on the actions of three U.S. Presidents before us.  It worked before; it can work now.

Will They Take Your Job?

Thanks, Mayor Ed

Yesterday Tom Norton was sworn in as the new Greeley Mayor, replacing Ed Clark after a two year term.  Thanks Mayor Ed, for two years of solid governing.  You knew you couldn't do everything, but you did some things well.  First, you were not a two-faced politician.  You said what you meant, and meant what you said.  (That particularly irritated the Lib Trib, who obviously believes otherwise.)  You reined in crime in the area.  You protected schools.  Literally.  You worked with everyone diligently, and tried your best to govern in tough economic times without raising taxes or spending.  We commend you for your hard work on our behalf.

Tom-Tom Norton has big shoes to fill.  If he wants to import some of his wife Kay's ways, he will be a lousy mayor.  She wants illegals to have amnesty and in-state tuition, at taxpayer expense.  She supports tax increases to pay for her university, at taxpayer expense.  If this is the family mindset (and based on Norton's past voting record, it is), Greeley could be in for a rough ride.  Clark left the city solvent, stable, and with illegals and thugs backpedaling at the very least.  Let's see if Norton can maintain the momentum he inherited.  If not, he will be nothing more than another pantywaist Tom, banging the drum of liberality while pretending to be a conservative.  Be sure to attend city council meetings and watch his actions closely.  He has cozied up to UNC, District 6 and others, and may have to recuse himself from various actions the city needs to take based on conflicts of interest.  Let's see if he is a mayor of integrity or simply a power-hungry man.

Bennett Meeting Well Attended

Congressman Michael Bennett sent a staff member to Greeley last night to conduct a local town hall meeting and "explain" some of his actions to the locals.  What the staffer encountered however was a group that wanted the staffer to listen to their point of view.  They had issues with Bennett's views regarding socialized health care, illegal immigration, cap and trade, and poor treatment of veterans.  The surprisingly well-attended forum was not covered by the Lib Trib, nor was the unwillingness of the Bennett group to listen and adapt to constituent concerns.

It seemed that those attending had heard about the forum through various grassroots groups such as Amy Oliver's talk show and the local 9.12 group.  Although they were not an organized, cohesive group, they did seem to express uniform concern over Bennet's lack of performance on various issues.  In the end the Staffer closed up shop and departed, presumably to tell her boss how offended she was by the outcry at the local level.

Gangs, Illegals, Mismanagement And Schools

According to supporters of 3A, if you love children you will spend $16 million dollars more per year on their education.  If you don't, you are a hater.  Shame on you.  Today Sam will give you a few ideas of his own that will help our teachers, schools and community.  None of these are discussed in the Lib Trib, of course.  Every candidate they have supported is with Tom-Tom Norton and the pro-3A bunch.  So much for unbiased media at the local level.

Here are some recommendations from Sam:

• First, every child that attends school should provide evidence that they are in the U.S. legally.  Have this proof shown before a child is admitted to school.  If a child or family cannot provide that documentation, contact ICE.  We don't need to pay higher taxes so that an illegal thief can be supported free of charge.
  
• Second, put the word out.  "Involved with a gang?  Your door goes bang."  Get them out of schools, instead of forcing schools to "cater" to them.  Did you know that John Evans middle school had to change their color scheme to a neutral color because their old colors involved red and blue?  Sam is sick of seeing law-abiding citizens being forced to cater to gang-types.  He thinks red, white and blue are still good colors.
  
• Third, slash any salary over $100,000 to that level.  We can employ a state senator for less.  Increase their salaries only by the percentage test scores rise each year.
  
• Fourth, fire non-performing teachers.  They are in the system and give the good ones a bad name.
  
• Fifth, involve parents at every level of district 6.  Every committee from security to curriculum.
  
• Sixth, eliminate the hidden plunder in District 6.  Two lifts, a large tow truck (how much did that cost?) and other toys.
  
• Seventh, use the local bus system.  Thanks to Ed Phillipsen for this idea.
  
• Eighth, challenge the feds and the state.  Every program they enact must come with matching funds.  Unfunded programs will not be implemented.
  
• Ninth, share.  Across school boundaries, equipment, bus rides, etc.  There is too much territorial disputing and not enough cooperation in District 6.
• Tenth, take a hard look at the charter schools.  They do better even though they have less money, very similar demographics, and pay for their own buildings.  District 6 hates it when Sam brings it up and tries to play the demographic card every time.  It is not true.  Take a long, hard look at what works, and copy it elsewhere.

Sam is just getting warmed up.  He thinks Greeley and District 6 can be great, but not if we throw more money at the situation.  Lang, Tom-Tom Norton and the big-money people in town are trying to tell us that more money out of our wallets is a better thing.  What is wrong with this picture?  Can you say slavery?  No wonder they are rich and you are not.

Sleeping With The Enemy?

Tom Norton has some baggage.  Only a year ago wife Kay Norton and her band of thieves at UNC were the first state college to try and take your money to fund illegal aliens attending her college in Greeley.  See it for yourself in the link below.  But it gets worse.  The actual Colorado Senate bill (SB 170) was sponsored completely by liberal democrats.  The RINO Nortons wanted it along with Dick Monfort and several others.  It would have actually provided subsidies from your taxes to illegal aliens, including those who had not completed high school. It was narrowly defeated by the conservatives.

Will Norton take this approach into the Mayor's office?  Will Greeley become a sanctuary for illegals?  Here are some other issues:

• November 12, 2009 - Former CU Regent Jim Martin said a "new Republican Party" needed to be formed that was more moderate.  He listed possible candidates for the liberal, reorganized party, and one of them was Tom Norton.
  
• January 7, 2009 - Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance member Tom Norton was already actively pushing for Obama stimulus funds.  The stimulus hadn't even been passed yet!  Instead of standing against it, he was lobbying for funds.  He said, "The stimulus money will be spent, and we are ready to and should support the receiving of that money. We should take advantage of that to the biggest degree possible."  Talk about a hog at a trough.
  
• Tom Norton may have to remove himself from mayoral activities involving AIMS, District 6, and/or UNC.  He has a decided conflict of interest in dealing with these groups.  However, he will not address this.

Why would Greeley want a tax raising, self-professed moderate, indentured servant to UNC, liberal policies as their mayor?  These are the questions you won't see in the Lib Trib.  They are gutless, whiny, and liberal as the Nortons.  If you want to sing something more than "We Are The World" in future days, vote against Norton and against 3A.

Forced Socialism And Your Bills

Sam believes in helping his fellow man.  But he doesn't need Obama, Ritter, or someone else to force him to do it.  Perhaps a great deal of the new legislation is simply just that; forcing you and me to help someone else out even if they are stealing from the system.

Consider the fact that the majority of the local school system is Hispanic.  How many of these kids belong to illegal aliens?  How many of them are demanding the same rights as citizens, and taking rights away from us?  How much of the bond issue you and I pay for will be used to address their schooling, school lunches, bilingual programs, remedial education, social adaptation issues and other problems?  Probably a great deal.

Did you know that Atmos wants to raise your utility rates again?  The reason is so they can have money to help out people who cant pay their utility bills.  Thats right.  They want to take money from you, and use it to pay for other peoples bills.  While Sam applauds the noble sounding effort, he realizes it is pure greed.  Atmos doesn't want to shut peoples utilities off in the winter, nor lose money.  They want to take it from you, so their profits can remain good...using socialistic causes.

Sam thinks he should be able to help his friends and neighbors with the money that remains in his pocket.  It shouldnt go to District 6, Atmos, or anywhere else.  This is what liberty and freedom mean.  Think about it, and recognize the creeping death of socialism sneaking through the corporate and school district doors.

News Wrap-Up For Mid-July

Sam has been reading a recent issue of the Lib Trib with a great deal of humor.  It seems that one of their columnists had her identity stolen....again.  No problem.  It was one of God's children, and apparently they needed her identity more than she did.  It's not a crime.  It's a need.  Live and let live, you know?  Why is it a crime if a Lib Tribber has it happen to them, but a social issue if it happens to you or me?

Then there's the Iron Mountain Auto story that talks about how they haven't been making payroll and have been struggling out there.  Anyone who has shopped for a car out there knows that they train their sales people to behave like vultures and run you ragged.  Sam walked out of a sales deal out there because of their lack of ethics and integrity.  They could have gotten a decent sale.  But again, the Lib Trib fails to bring free-market applications into their news stories.

Finally, there's a national story.  In it we read that Obama is telling leaders of financial companies that they lack humility.  Now let's see.  He can send Michele and his daughters to Europe and make you pay for the vacation.  He can withhold all of his records while stating that he's open and transparent.  He can say that he will post every bill on the internet and not vote on it for 5 days, and then once elected immediately break that promise.  He can say that stimulus will work immediately and build new jobs, and then once it's passed he says exactly the opposite.  And he has the audacity to lecture others about humility?  He smells like a feedlot on a hot summer day.  Sam had to laugh.

My friends, this is only one day's news.  There is so much happening these days.  It's actually highly-orchestrated chaos.  What will you be reading, or doing, to prepare for the days ahead.  Stay in touch with the Greeley Report.  Sam has connections and sources you won't find other places.  He may not always divulge them, but he will tell you the truth.

Union Defends Lawbreakers And Thieves

Sam has been traveling during the past week where no internet access was available, and caught up on some reading during that time.  An article on page 5 of the July 3-16 issue of the Northern Colorado Business Report caught his eye for it's twisted views.  It was about a report done by the United Food and Commercial Workers Union on the 2006 ICE raids at the Swift Plants (including the one in Greeley).  The conclusion?  Well, the union said that civil liberties were trampled, the poor workers were seized for questioning, and that Obama will fix things.  Surprise, surprise.

What was obviously ignored was the success of the raids.  Nearly 12,000 workers were questioned by ICE, and out of these 1,300 were arrested.  From this pool, 274 workers were charged with identity theft crimes and illegal alien status!  Yes, really!  And 1,100 others were legal workers who were in violation of their terms of work agreements!  So technically there were nearly 1,300 arrests for violations and blatant crimes!  But the union calls this failure!

Sam thinks getting 274 criminals and thieves off the streets is a good thing!  He also thinks a one-day sweep that gets another 1,100 violators to toe the mark and behave better is excellent!  ICE is not authorized to live and let live.  They are authorized to seek, arrest, deport, and scare people who are lawbreakers.  They did a good job.  But of course you won't hear that from the liberal unions, or most Democrats.  Nor will you hear it from Obama...who is now supposed to "fix" things.  What a twisted, sick society where evil is called good, and good is now evil.  Stand up freedom-loving Americans or ICE will end up hunting us instead.

Undocumented Thugs

The Denver news stations broke the story before the Tribune caught it.  Last night Sam learned that nine Hispanic thugs were nailed by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in Weld County.  They are all gang members, and three of them have green cards.  Now they are all in jail and set to be deported.

Sam is glad the gang activity is being disrupted in the area.  Don't bother with the sob stories about how some girlfriend with 3 children by one of these trash dumpsters is now losing her means of support.  Don't whine to Sam about how this creates racial tension.  And don't call them guest workers, undocumented workers, or god's children.  They are trash.  Lock them up, get them out, and throw a party for those who are trying to make Northern Colorado better.  If you side with them, perhaps you can go with them to help them build a better society....south of the border somewhere.

Whose Fault Is It?

Sam Hill has been wondering about the state of affairs around Northern Colorado and the nation.  And he's been asking a few questions that need to be answered.

• If the government (state, local or federal) is spending all of this money, who voted these idiots into office?
• If the Federal Reserve is charging us interest to run government business that should be run at zero percent interest, aren't they the largest part of our economic problem?
• When somebody tells you that you should be tolerant, aren't they being intolerant of you?
• Why are we paying failing schools more money to teach our children multicultural crap and bilingual studies?  By the time they graduate they can't do as well in college as home schoolers who are trained by so-called "amateurs."  (This falls under the "who's the dummy now" category.)
• Why do government fees never come down?
• Why do people rely on churches, synagogues and temples to be charitable and give them handouts, yet they seldom attend or support them financially?
• Why do liberals hate guns, conservatives, facts and history, when they are supposed to be broad-minded and tolerant?  Could it be they are actually bigots, racists, and narrow-minded haters of mankind?
• Why do Americans hate history, when it actually points us to a time when our country worked well?  We could return to those values and ways of living, if we really wanted to be free, independent and successful.
• Why do we need to imitate the rest of the world?  They are failing.

We're Fine. Really.

Well, well.  Greeley just lost a dumpster full of revenue mostly through sales tax and property tax declines.  But not one job was cut.  True, it's being proposed that they don't give salary increases for awhile, but beyond that it's business as usual for the city folk.  Look for permit fees, traffic tickets, and the basic costs for city services to increase this year as well.  But no cutting back.  No sir!

So, what's wrong with this picture?  Could it be that the entitlement mentality is alive in Greeley?  Could it be that we see government at the local level as the benevolent caretaker?  Probably so.  But sooner or later the government is going to have to make some hard choices at the city level.  Foreclosures are in danger of going through the roof again this Summer.  And commercial real estate is struggling, too.  Then you have the ghost town of the Greeley Mall, and other vacancies throughout the city that are paying zero sales tax revenue.  It paints a bleak picture for the coming months.

This is why Sam Hill thinks tax and spend Tom Norton is a poor choice for Greeley Mayor.  Greeley needs to be cutting, saving, eliminating government stupidity and not adding to it.  Greeley needs a frugal business leader who will say no to that new copy machine, and keep the old one running.  Someone who will cut jobs and services if necessary, so that Greeley will exist 20 years from now.  If not, we will be a safe haven for gangs and illegals who suck services dry, while we run good people and businesses out of town.  If you don't think local elections matter, think again.  Greeley, you have some challenges and it's time for you to face them head-on.

Beware The Tom

Several cronies have been working actively to move Republican values left in Northern Colorado.  Among them are Jim Eckersley and his spousal unit Tambor Williams, and former Weld County Commissioner citizen Bill Jerke.  Jerke runs the "how to shift us left" luncheon at the Rio on a weekly basis, where dialogue centers on how to be respectful of leftists while alienating rightists.

Another scrappy RINO in the bunch is Tom Selders, er Norton.  (Sorry.  Sam Hill was mistaking Norton for the former mayor Greeley, Tom Selders, who was once a Republican in name only, but turned Democrat instead.)  Norton has declared his intentions to run for the position of Greeley Mayor.  This would be bad news for the area.  While Norton hasn't said much yet (stay tuned), we do know that he has a record of liking taxes and increases, and keeping large-scale government large and feeding off of your money.  His wife also likes perversity (or diversity), and taking your money to pay for the education of illegals at her liberal bastion of UNC (she's president and chief socialist there, you know, who hates having legal citizens who carry guns on her campus....but is very tolerant and accepting of lawbreakers).

We know that the Nortons like to hang out with the Eckersley/Williams and Jerke group.  And you know what they say about birds of a feather.  Well, they are flocking.  Of course they will give us the old line about how we need to adjust our views to attract people into our big, crappy tent, and how freedom-loving people need to compromise.  They will try to appear inclusive (while they secretly hate true conservatives).  They will try to "dialogue."  What Sam is looking for is someone who will defend the rights and freedoms of Americans, not illegals.  Someone who will give money back to the citizen, not continue to take more.  None of these people appear interested in doing either one of those things.  So, my friends, beware the Tom.  Beware the RINO's.  And prepare to listen to a lot of stupid things coming out of their mouths.  The election season is about to begin again.

Really We're Fine

The figures are in, and Greeley/Evans housing is in dire straits.  Of course we don't talk about why that is the case, but Greeley/Evans housing has plunged in value.  Nobody bothers to talk about the illegals who purchased houses and then decided to move away in the night (and Sam Hill personally knows a couple of these cases).  No one talks about the liberals who demanded that rules be changed to allow people to buy houses who were completely undisciplined.  Nobody talks about the suppression of wages by illegals and other issues in NoCo that keep people in a financial straitjacket while prices and fees continue to rise.

No, it's just another case of stupid reporting by the Lib Trib, instead of examining the issues behind it all.  Do we really want to change things, or do we just want to be selfish and fine?  Sam suspects the latter.  But as jobs are strained by more regulation from the liberals in the Colorado statehouse, as oil and gas taxes drop and Weld County is squeezed even more, you can bet it's going to become your problem.  Think about some things long and hard.  Difficulties are coming to a township near you.  It's not over yet.

Liberal Sizzle, Fizzles

The much-anticipated pro-lawbreaking illegal alien march this past weekend didn't turn out to be much of a bang.  (It was more like a belch.)  The local pathetic whiners couldn't get a major demonstration off the ground, so they bussed a few liberals from regional communes into Greeley, to rant with fellow lawbreakers in this area.  Of course the mantra was along the "we are the world" theme, and the unity was disgusting.

The Lib Trib covered the display of liberalism with appalling joy.  The plight of the "undocumented workers" (who all stole their documents from others) was once again shared.  But not one person was interviewed whose life was made a living hell because their documents and identities were stolen by a lawbreaker.  No mention was made of the jobs being taken from legal American citizens by lawbreakers, nor was the fact that underground violence is actually perpetuated by illegals simply because they are afraid to go to authorities with crime reporting due to their status.

Of course you, the reader of Greeley Report, generally recognize the bias.  But there are a few of you out there who undoubtedly need to be informed.  So, we point these things out today in the hopes that you will actually learn something.  After all, this march was supposed to be significant.  It was supposed to be the forward wave of a new global trend.  Instead, it recycled hippies and socialists into a new cause, while they were symbolic in their love.  Stupid heads, empty hearts, and pathetic causes all came together into a little cesspool of sign waving and cheers.  They thought they had accomplished great things for society.  But today, nothing has changed because of it.  Such is the life of the liberal.

Stupid Is In

The upcoming "unity march" to promote support of illegal aliens is a definite indicator of today's trend.  Sam Hill believes that smart is out, and stupid is in.  Go anywhere today and you will see the signs.  Tolerance accepts perverse, dumb, even ignorant views.  But the views of intelligent, solid Americans are not tolerated.  American classrooms are pushing away healthy competition, tests, and excellence so that "everyone can be included without discrimination."  Even in some religious circles the "God loves everyone" mantra is being chanted like the cult-following koolaid drinkers of old.  Government has to cater to the lowest common denominator, not the innovative and productive.  Even Obama touched the stupid.  After all, he was elected by something besides the intelligent and free-thinking in America!

Yes, stupid is in.  But there's a problem with that.  You see, stupid may make good bureaucrats and welfare recipients, but they don't run farms and ranches, invent products, run businesses, and develop excellence.  No, they prey on the intelligent while they secretly hate them.  When the stupid come to power, the intelligent are wise enough to keep their heads down until things get bad enough for life to change again.  How long will this take?  Who knows?  Perhaps the stupid media will tell us.  Perhaps it will be the next crisis or "unity march" that will awaken our society.  Until then, wise ones, keep your heads down and work like crazy.  Your time is coming, and soon!

Migrating Swine

The swine flu has come to the United States.  With all of our technology, military might, change-oriented government, and skill we seem to be unable to stop it.  Or is this true?

Sam Hill believes American leaders could stop it if they wanted to do something unpopular.  We need to close our borders, put the National Guard at every seaport, airport and outpost possible, and set up military hospitals.  Each incoming person could be checked for symptoms.  Would it send the world into a tailspin?  Yes!  But would it stop illegals?  Absolutely.  It would also provide for the legal entrants to be protected and a part of a great nation.

However, the globalists are thinking globally.  And they are trying to drag you, your nation and your health into this cesspool they call progress.  Call your congressmen and women.  Demand change.  And remember this moment.  Obama promised change.  Sam Hill thinks this is it.

Tom-Tom For Mayor?

Well-known RINO Tom Norton has declared his intentions to run for Mayor of Greeley.  Sam Hill finds it quite amusing that this RINO would try to take advantage of the Obama political climate to shift Northern Colorado politics to the left.  The left?  Oh yes!  Let's take a look at what Tom-Tom would bring to the mayor's office.

First, he's a liberal in conservative clothing.  He was a state senator who was very good at compromising with the libs during a more conservative time.  He also served as director of the Colorado Department of Transportation.  During this time Norton was unable to get a Republican governor and a Republican legislature to create a state line item in the budget for transportation!  Instead, the state created bond issues for major transportation funding (such as the T-Rex project running through central Denver).  Now, Governor Ritter and the Democratic socialists regularly hold transportation hostage because of Norton's ineffectiveness during his service.

Second, Norton loves what his wife Kay loves.  Who is Kay?  Why she's the liberal maven of the socialist haven known as the University of Northern Colorado.  Kay Kay likes homosexual and other "diversity" (e.g. perversity) groups.  She also likes giving illegal aliens resident status for UNC tuition.  (Sounds like globalism/socialism to Sam.)  Since she shares her bed and her ideologies with Tom-Tom, it's safe to say he could make Greeley a very accepting city for freaks and illegals.

Third, Norton is ambitious.  He would bring his inflated attitude to the mayor's office, which of course is just what Greeley needs.  (Please note the sarcasm used, here.)  In an age that demands public servants and statesmen, Greeley would get a socialist, a bleeding heart RINO, and a bureaucrat.  He's not a middle-class American.  He comes across as more upper-crust, in a blue-collar world.  Yet he portrays himself as for the "little people."

Sam thinks Greeley can do better than Norton.  It has been through the Tommy Selders era, and has taken a deep breath under Ed Clark.  Greeley doesn't need another whiny RINO, pacifist, freak-loving, illegal-supporting politician.  Watch him try to duck and skirt issues as they come up.  Bang that Tom-Tom.  He deserves it.

You Shot It Down!

Sam Hill is sure that Norton and Norton (Kay and Tom) are steaming today about the bill that was shot down yesterday in Colorado's senate.  The bill would have given children of illegals in-state tuition.  However, thanks to your pressure and heat on Colorado senators the bill went down in flames, after appearing it's passage was a sure thing.

Grandpa Jim (I love every illegal and pervert) Riesburg was for the bill on the House side, and Gov. Bill (I won't talk about Stephanie) Ritter was ready to sign it into law.  But law-abiding, Colorado guarding senators voted it out, partly because you applied the pressure.  Way to go, Greeley Report readers.  You are making a difference in government.  Keep up the good work.
