Presumption of Innocence

The racial haters were warming up their lynch-mobs over the weekend.  Seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by a white man, and the majority of the pundits automatically assumed it was a hate crime.  Then an eyewitness weighed in.  According to his report, Martin attacked George Zimmerman, the white, neighborhood watch volunteer, and Zimmerman shot the teen in self-defense while he was being attacked and beaten.  A broken nose, crime scene investigations and the 911 call also verified these details.

But Obama, the alleged Constitutional lawyer, had already weighed in, taking the side of the aggressive teen.  Black Panthers have placed a dead-or-alive bounty on the white man.  Marches and rallies were staged nation-wide this week, and in the meantime the U.S. Constitution has been forgotten or completely ignored by vigilante activism.

There is a reason for the presumption of innocence in our laws.  Crimes are committed and accidents happen.  When they occur, emotions are high, and witnesses must be deposed.  Arrests and charges may be forthcoming based on the evidence, or they may not happen at all.  These details are dealt with, hopefully, in a more dispassionate manner, so that justice may be done.  The masses are not just.  They are emotional.  As details and facts emerge, the full story is known.  Then and only then, can justice be served.

The police did not file charges based on the evidence of the case.  That is when the cries of racism began.  The neighborhood watch volunteer weeps over the life he felt compelled to take, in order to save his own.  There is a bounty on his head and death threats from black hate groups.  A young teenager is dead, shot for his stupidity.  Obama quickly steps into the fray because once again he's sure it's a minority against white issue.  Either that, or he wants to divide the nation using racism.  He's a master at it.  He sat under the preaching of Jeremiah Wright long enough to know how to hate others.  This may be a true, racist crime.  If not however, it is great propaganda used by the left to incite violence, divide the nation, and create a state of emergency.  Then what?  According to recent executive orders, Obama rules.  The teenager is not the only death in the news these days.  The truth is dead, too, and so is the U.S. Constitution.

Did He Really Say That?

There are so many issues that impact both state and local govenment these days.  Abound Solar is going down like Solyndra, despite being pork-fed, bringing another solar scandal close to home.  Windsor residents are asking candidates about whether they will push for your tax money to be given to their Vestas plant (so they can continue their idyllic, inflated lifestyle).  The University of Northern Colorado has begun to cater to Muslims as they bring sharia through the Dining hall.  And primary candidates are filling the local meeting halls of various political groups with their promises and viewpoints.

All of these are interesting stories.  The largest story today comes from Leon Panetta, Obama's top military man, as he completely obliterates the U.S. Constitution with his statements.  We will link to the video clip, courtesy of Brietbart (RIP).  In the video, Leon Panetta completely skirts the Constitution and every protection we have in place, to take military action (it's called war) based on international direction.  It is absolutely treasonous!  Watch for yourself and see how far down the slippery slope we have gone as a nation.

This is the mindset of those in government, at many levels.  When they think that consulting with people they perceive to be higher authorities gives them power over our lives and our money, that is treason.  Whether it's the Federal, state or local level, this is a dangerous game.  Government must be cleaned out, from top to bottom.  Panetta and many others have been around too long.  Throw them out!  This is why it's critical to have some fresh faces in Congress this year.  (Watch 7 minute video clip here, and judge for yourself about Panetta's remarks.)

Little George And The Republicans

When so-called 'news man" and political hack George Stephanopoulos was selected to moderate the Republican debate held on national tv, every Republican candidate should have boycotted the event.  His ill-concealed liberal views eventually erupted during the debate, as he began to obsess about pro-life issues and other statements made.  He should have been dumped by all the candidates at the very outset.  Instead, they chose (earlier in the year) to boycott a similar forum moderated by...Donald Trump!

It's true.  Trump has an agenda all of his own, and at times seems to have aspirations and interests in the political arena for himself.  However, that is no different than Stephanopoulos.  The fact of the matter is this.  Many of the questions the conservatives would ask the candidates aren't being thrown at them.  Why?  Because the moderators are RINO's, pseudo-conservatives, or complete liberals.

In all reality candidates like Romney, Gingrich and others don't mind an extremely liberal moderator.  It's easier for these candidates to appear conservative when questioned by somebody farther to the left.  Remember that. It's yet another tactic to try and sway you from your values and steal your vote for someone you really don't like.

When The Media Lie

Joey Bunch and Kieran Nicholson recently wrote an article in the Denver Post that stated that, "More than 500 children in the United States die in gun accidents each year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in a 2007 report, which estimated 1.7 million children live in homes where guns are kept."  However, according to CDC statistics for 2007, they report only 112 unintentional firearm deaths, ages zero through 17.  How did this 388 child factual "misprint" occur?

It's simple, really.  Many in media lie, misstate, and skew positions, so that liberal positions may be advanced. The freedom of the press is recognized and protected in the Constitution, but that doesn't mean they always tell the truth.  It's up to the buyer to be aware.  The mainstream press is often corrupt, and like these writers in the post, there are many facts that must be checked out independently if you really want to know the truth.  Elaborate background schemes even occur in fact-checking circles.  Annenberg, a liberal, runs one of the largest fact-checking organizations, and even Snopes, an on-line, so-called fact-checking group is notoriously liberal and has been completely inaccurate in several issues Greeley Report has investigated.

This is why mainstream news readership is plummeting and blog readers and alternative news and media sites are increasing.  People know what is going on, and are thankful to have alternative viewpoints, and access to the truth instead of being forced to read the garbage put forth by those that have been in control of the news.  The Post article on children and firearms did not attempt to put childhood accidental deaths by firearms into any context by contrasting it with other areas of childhood, accidental death or injury.  None of this occurred.

However, because of public outcry the Post was forced to amend their original article.  A postscript was added stating that there are between 1.57 and 1.82 million children that daily live in houses with loaded and unlocked guns, and yet only 112 were killed accidentally in 2007.  Those statistics change the data and the story significantly, even with the liberal sourcing of "Pediatrics" Magazine used for foundational information.  But who cares?  There is an agenda to guard, and idiots to influence.  Let the reader (or viewer, or listener) beware. 

SNL, Jesus And Tebow

Saturday Night Live recently aired a piece that featured performers playing the roles of Bronco quarterback Tim Tebow, and Jesus Christ.  It was standard SNL fare that was mocking, edgy, and over-the-top.  Criticism has poured in, and SNL will probably disregard all of it as they continue down their path of relatively low ratings, kept only in place by their saturday night time slot.

In all fairness, SNL should probably now air a skit that includes a Muslim and Muhammad in some type of edgy repartee as well.  In this multicultural age, no religion should be given a pass.  They should be equally humiliated, abused and slapped.  It won't happen.  Why?  Because Muslims kill people that insult their religion; Christians don't.

We are told frequently that all religions and ideologies are equal, and that Islam is the religion of peace.  It's not.  No sooner does the U.S. pull out of Iraq, then they set about killing each other.  This year Pakistan has had nearly 700 Islamic "honor killings" of mainly women that were considered as either rebellious or "too westernized" in their viewpoints.  The U.S. State Department has said nothing condemning these atrocities.  Once again, Islam gets a pass because they will intimidate, attack and kill anyone that dares to condemn them.

The next time someone tries to tell you that Islam is inoffensive and equal to other religions, point to Tebow, Jesus and SNL.  Ask them what would happen if that were to be done live in New York against Islam on a saturday night.  By sunday morning there would be hell to pay.  Because Islam is not a religion of peace.  It never has been, it never will be, and sooner or later the United States is going to have to deal with it in her cities and towns.

Propaganda

On Wednesday children with gather and use the technology you and I paid for in classrooms, gyms and cafeterias, to watch a nationally streamed broadcast.  In a live simulcast from the White House, Barack Obama will address your children and grandchildren directly, telling them to be good, work hard, trust the government, and support his socialist jobs bill.  In all seriousness, one doesn't know what he will say, and his comments may be quite harmless.  But the idea of national leaders addressing our children is not a new one, and it was used in a dangerous fashion years ago.

One of the most successful examples of the national government stepping into children's lives was revealed in Nazi Adolph Hitler, prior to and during World War II.  Hitler was more than happy to supplant parents, local teachers, and any other realm of leadership.  Statism was big in Germany, and Hitler was at the helm.  Parallels to the current administration are very clear, and Obama is employing an old trend to try and foist old socialist lies on a new generation.  Find out if your children or grandchildren will be in the class that participates in this nonsense.  Contact the school and opt out.  Listen to the speech yourself (link here to the White House streaming site) (and link here to an info sheet from the White House), and then discuss it with your child.  This keeps you in control, not the government.  The tactic is subtle, but then again that's the way propaganda works.

Paul?

It's interesting to note what news media outlets choose to say and also avoid as they report "the facts."  The late author and Russian dissedent Alexander Solzhenitsyn noted that in the USSR there was one media outlet controlled by the government.  In the USA the outlets were supposedly free, but all said the same thing.  He wondered if there was really a difference.

So when all of the major news media outlets begin to avoid the same story, it makes my ears perk up.  The story of the early Republican presidential primary has not been about Perry (even though he has scrupulously stonewalled the National Association for Gun Rights questionnaire), Romney, or even about Herman Cain.  The story nobody wants is all about...Paul.

Ron Paul has done better consistently than any other Republican contender.  This weekend he decisively won the California straw poll with a double-digit lead over the closest contender.  He did well in Iowa and other states.  His support nationwide has doubled in the past two weeks, putting him in the top tier of candidates.  And yet the news media wants to talk about Romney versus Perry.  What about Michele Bachmann?  What about Ron Paul?  What about some of the others?  If this story is being avoided, the mainstream is scared of it.  They don't want him to get close to the White House.  Perhaps we need to pay attention to the things they don't want, and don't say.

This is a clear-cut example of why the internet and alternative media is not only nice to have; it is critical.  We may not agree, but we should at least think!  And we need information from various sources to make informed decisions.  The idiots will still tune into the mainstream and let others do their thinking for them.  Blogging and alternative media continues to grow, and the liberals and RINO's had better worry.

Do You Love The Lie More Than The Truth?

Greg Mortenson is a liberal media darling.  The author of the book "Three Cups of Tea" was swamped by media attention and took schools, libraries, bookstores, even portions of the military by storm.  However this weekend television's "60 Minutes" had an expose on Mortenson.  There were "anomalies" to his story, one that he portrayed as true.  Now, Mortenson has been exposed as being a fraud, and his book as a fabrication.  A lie.  (Link here to 60 Minutes materials.)

Now what happens?  This man was put in front of our children throughout District 6 and was touted as a folk hero.  He received a rock star's welcome at UNC.  His books are in the local libraries, and have captured the hearts of many locals here in Northern Colorado.  But they are lies.  Complete lies.  And telling lies helped this man build a $60 million empire that he now controls.

Greeley Report believes this man's writing should be pulled from every library.  Every school should print and teach the truth about what happens when people lie their way to the top.  Children should be sad and teachers should be sadder about the utter con job they received.  And the Lib Trib should print a retraction of their accolade masquerading as news that they printed when he was in Greeley touting his parade of lies (here's the article if you want to see for yourself).  Mortenson is a sham, and every aspect of life that lives for and loves the truth needs to come clean.  He needs to be vilified and dumped.

However, liberals are kind-hearted souls...to other liberals.  Besides, there are other books that have been discovered to be frauds, too.  They have been excused as "good writing," and life has gone on.  Normally, you can pull off $60 million in fraud unless you do something sacred (like cross Oprah).  As one blog wrote this weekend, "if you read the book, would you still recommend it?"  (Link here to that blog.)  It's tragic, but true.

Many around Northern Colorado will still cling to the book because they want to believe a lie.  They would rather embrace a lie than hold to truth because the lie is nicer, easier, and something they want to believe.  And this my friends, is the reason we still have failing governmental systems and societal scams in place here in Greeley.  Lies are usually better packaged and better eating than truth.  And it makes life smooth until the crash at the end.

It's All A Sham

The potential Federal government shutdown is a fraud.  It's politics as usual, and hardball played by the liberals that want to portray the conservatives that want to cut taxes and spending as hard-nosed, uncaring, and against the poor.  But make no mistake, the beat goes on in Washington, D.C.

Obama will be heading out to make a couple of stops designed to enhance his reelection campaign. He will stop at a "green" technologies center, and then move on to rub shoulders with ethno-centric voters.  He demands all of the Reps and Senators to stick around, but he gets out of town.  What a caring man he is (extreme sarcasm intended).

As for the negotiations, well, they are at a stalemate partly because it's not just about the money.  Conservatives plan to defund Planned Parenthood's genocidal march through the nation.  They also want to defund the EPA, particularly the segment that regulates greenhouse gasses.  If Obama and the socialists really wanted a workable budget, and were only concerned about the economy, they would jump at the chance to cut these portions.  But it's really not about the economy; it's a battle of social values.  (Most RINO's, quasi-liberals, and fibbertarians will try to debate this point to no avail.  The argument over these budget items is a perfect case-in-point that values and morals are constantly enforced by the left while they say otherwise with their lying mouths.)

In reality a government shutdown might not be a bad idea.  The military would be funded, but the IRS would close.  The Post Office would still work and social security checks would be sent.  But government-funded museums and other frivolities would have to find other sources of money, or they would close.  Federal funds that go to states would cease for awhile, and that would expose all of the nasty funding trails that makes states completely dependent on the feds.  It's not all bad!  In fact, it would probably be a realistic wake-up call to both sides of the aisle.  And someone out there might actually have to find a real job!  Now that would be a change we could all believe in!

So let the pundits punt.  Let the liberal media continue to ply their lying trade.  And let the politicians debate.  If it's as serious as they say, they will be willing to give in, especially on the leftist side.  But Obama is flying around like nothing is wrong.  Apparently you he thinks you don't have anything to worry about either.

The Propaganda Bowl

It's interesting to watch just how "propagandized" society has become when we watch major events such as yesterday's Super Bowl.  The game itself was enjoyable, but the political correctness of the entire event was awful.  It began with the pregame analysis of the "union" roots of the two teams and the towns they represent.  Little or nothing was mentioned about how both Green Bay and Pittsburgh are both now cities with little or no manufacturing left in them because it's all been shipped overseas by greedy politicians and big business.  It was all about the "glory to the union" mantra.

Then there was the National Anthem.  Can't they get someone that actually knows the words to sing the song?  Please!  The Black Eyed Peas attempted to entertain during halftime, and quite honestly, they were horrible.  Their little Obama honoring ploy further soured the stomach.  Who do they think they are fooling.  They are nothing but highly-paid shills for big, socialist government.  It was stupid.

Meanwhile, back at the White House, the Obamas were enjoying the game and of course Michelle-the-food-Nazi Obama was undoubtedly making sure everyone was munching on broccoli, greens, and tofu.  Right?  Wrong!  While she is busy telling us what to eat and how to live, her Superbowl menu was quite different than the one she wants to force upon you and your children.  The White House menu for the party there included:  bratwurst, kielbasa, cheeseburgers, deep-dish pizza and Buffalo wings with sides of German potato salad, twice-baked potatoes and assorted chips and dips.  Sounds like a low-fat, low-sodium diet to Sam!

Really, Sam doesn't care what they eat in the White House.  But he does care that hypocrites are busy saying one thing and doing another, and they have the political power to force their will upon us.  He also cares about the fact that yesterday the United States largest sports event looked more like a propaganda campaign that would have made Hitler proud.  This is why you and I must constantly take a stand against tyranny.  Politicians love it.  You must stand against it. 

What A Bunch Of Wimps!

Yesterday the goverment of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania decided to control a great American pasttime.  Why?  Because of snow!  The National Football League game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles had to be postponed until Tuesday night (from Sunday afternoon) because it was snowing too heavily and the government didn't want people to be stuck, inconvenienced or placed in jeopardy.  How stupid!  And how dangerous!

The Eagles and Patriots are both cold-weather teams, hailing from northern climes.  Philly is a northern city and global warming has never been an issue for them!  So what's the problem?  The government.  They think they can control things "for the good of the people," and instead end up taking away rights and liberties.  When the government has the authority to force people to stay inside because of snow, and to shut down a private enterprise like the NFL (which included a complete rescheduling of all televised programming in the Sunday and Tuesday blocks to honor network contracts), it has too much power.

It's not for the good of the people.  The government has too much control.  Did you notice how Big Brother is taking over?  Of course you did.  But you probably thought it was good.  After all, the government won't turn into a dictatorship unless they can convince the rank and file American that it's a good thing.  Merry Christmas.

Close The Borders! Now!

Many people on the left and right of the political spectrum attempt to lump border security and illegal immigration enforcement together with the restructuring of immigration laws in the United States.  However, since more than one million legal immigrants entered the U.S. in the past twelve months, doing the paperwork doesn't seem to be a problem for some.  Furthermore, the government is well-aware of the jobs (especially in agribusiness and service industries) that need to be filled (according to some).  Certainly they shouldn't be a problem, should they.

In the meantime, there is a huge, gaping hole in our society, called border security.  A television station in Atlanta did an expose on the problem, and revealed it's a problem that must be dealt with immediately for the security of our nation.  OTM's (Other Than Mexicans) are flooding the border, with the intent to destroy you and me.  They are searching for 20 Somali terrorists that are Muslim and dangerous.  Are they here in Greeley?  They could be.  The truth is this.  The borders need to be closed.  Period.  Do whatever it takes.  Then, when security is established and illegals and terrorists are being rounded up and set away, we will talk about reforming present immigration policies.

The Trib Gets The Truth

A tip of the hat to a Greeley Report reader for this story.

Denver's 9 News recently quoted Greeley Mayor Ed Clark with this comment about the Greeley Tribune.  Clark said, "I love this town, and I only want the best for Greeley, and I only want the worst for the Tribune.  I hope they fold.  (The Greeley Tribune) is probably one of the worst detractors from our community."

Hmmm.  Perhaps Mayor Ed is a Greeley Report reader, too.  That's what Sam Hill has been saying for a long time, now.  It's fun when the libs are turning on the spit instead of the conservatives.  Let's see them try to spin this one.

Media Shift Is Here

In case you haven't noticed, newspapers have it hard these days.  The Rocky Mountain News may well close, and Denver Post is experiencing difficulty.  Other liberal rags across the nation are also closing or scaling back significantly.  This is often blamed on the use of the internet, and changes in technology, which is partly true.  However, if you factor in television news viewing and radio, you find a completely different perspective.

You see, TV news viewing is also dropping.  Like a rock.  The talking heads at the Communist News Network (CNN), and the big socialist supporters (CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox...drifting in that direction) are also losing viewers, despite the fact they are making broadcasts available for iPods, cell phones and other technology.  And liberal news radio sources including National Public Radio are fading fast.  What's up?

To understand this, you must also look at what is being read, heard and watched more.  Blogs like this one are now a valid form of news and information, where you often find news the others won't report.  Conservative magazines are doing well (while "Time to die" and "NewsWeak" are struggling).  And local radio with conservative talk or editorials is flourishing.  It seems that there is a distrust of the pompous windbags that tried to tell us they were fair and unbiased.  Their publications and shows struggle, while the conservatives thrive.

With this in mind, it's easy to understand why Obama, Gov. Ritter and the liberals want to target talk radio and other areas with the so-called "fairness doctrine."  They hate the fact that conservatives have actually taken dying stations, magazines and blogs, and have built a solid base of communicating truth instead of propaganda. We will continue to watch liberal media die, while conservatives thrive.  Because the new shift in media is here.  You know it, we know it, and they know it.  Yes, the liberals will try to restrict free speech, because they are not about true freedom, but control and dictation.  But the creative conservatives will always find ingenious ways to get around their little regulations.  Welcome to the new truth, the new media!  The bloggers, the radio, and the conservative press is on the move!  Spread the word to others who appreciate the truth instead of fecal mouthwash the liberals provide.
